- yes, i know its a long way away, but perhaps they may know of someone to help or someone to foster. it would be nice to keep them together as its worrying what will happen to the female after her 7 days.

- its such a pity the two of them cant go together somewhere as perhaps they have never been parted.would the greyhound rescue be able to help- the one that cared for star some time ago?

- I have spoken to the lady who is caring for the found male dog and she has asked countless places to find somewhere to take him but so far no luck. We are trying all contacts that we know.
From what I understand he was found along with the female wandering along Seckar Lane which lies between New Millardam and Woolley and is a short drive away from the M1 Woolley Services. There are many areas of woodland near to where they were found and lots of open countryside. - 2012-07-22 18:33 Jayne - Founder Doglost.

- I have spoken to our local co-ordinator and she is trying to find if there is anywhere that would take this dog.

- The lovely womam who's looking after him at the moment has spent the weekend phoning round as many lurcher rescues - and dog rescues, as she could find. Unfortunately, she has a sweet, young lurcher of her own, and this poor lad has been aggrssive towards her, so she's had to send her own dog away til tomorrow. She's gone all out to help this boy but has come up against brick walls everywhere she's turned

- perhaps a lurcher rescue could help with these two if they are so traumatised? i hope the female in kennels wont be pts after the 7 days. if siblings they would be happier together somewhere.

- I went to meet the male lurcher today to get some photo's, which i've emailed in.
He got terribly upset and defensive every time I reached to my belt for my camera or phone. I'm not sure what that indicated about his history but it certainly wasn't a happy or positive reaction - 2012-07-22 15:46 AlisonH
- Dogs found running on A61 on Friday night. Appear to be siblings. Both very emaciated and weak, nails worn down to stubs. All local rescues contacted but all full. Eventually the female was taken to kennels and is on her 7 day countdown before being pts. Finders handed male dog to a friend in Leeds but he is very nervous. Photo of male to follow.Last edited: 2012-07-22 15:47:42 by AlisonH
