- Just wanted to say a huge thank you to everyone who was there for me after Nutti went missing. She vanished in dense forestry and eventually I found her about 500 metres from where she went missing some 4 and a half hours later. It was very windy and the noise from the near by wind turbines was very disturbing and i knew that my voice wasnt travelling as far as it might - so i never once stopped shouting or looking and i marked the area as best i could (pee'd every few hundred metres or so!) Eventually I was able to get onto forest tracks with the car, after leaving as many belongings that would smell of myself and the other dogs by a friends vehicle who had arrived to help. I drove through the forest making as much noise as possible by tooting the car horn and shouting and I was so pleased to see a ginger bundle appear from high up on some banking and then legging it behind my car woowoowoowoowooing as loud as she could - I hardly had the car stopped before she was in through the passenger window and with one bound from from seat to back! My heart goes out to all who still have dogs missing, Nutti was gone for about 4 1/2 hours and it felt like a lifetime. Thank you to everyone who was there for nutti and I! Nutti is fine, not a mark on her a wee bit spookier when we are out - good luck everyone xLast edited: 2012-07-24 13:38:09 by vizwei
