This Lab cross advertised on Preloved - just worth a look really. Clear photo so you would know if it was her. http://www.preloved.co.uk/adverts/show/111039489/collie-x.html

The one from Broughton appears to have been claimed but thanks for keeping Meg in mind Amanda. xx

A dog has been found in Broughton in Manchester, I know it's a long way from Wales but if Meg had been picked up, it's not an impossibility

Hi linzijtunstall - thank you for posting - it's certainly not out of the question that it might be Meg. Where is the dog now? would you be able to post a picture in 'found' with any details - gender, approx. age and size? xx

Admin - would it be possible to bump Meg's page as a possible sighting? She's been missing with no trace for over 12 months and this is the first possible indication of a dog which might be her........... xx

Hi, my other half found a dog today on the industrial estate on the roundabout by the welshpool livestock market. It was black and quite timid, looked similar to the photo but had a red collar. though we would see if we could find it's owner! Not sure if this is worth checking out.

Been thinking of this girl a lot - wherever you are - whoever you're with, I hope you're safe and warm with a full tummy. xx
jobadger
Still no news of this girl - I've handed out a couple of hundred fliers today in Betws y coed, Penrhyndeudraeth and Porthmadog. Let's hope one will jog someone's memory.

Have just come back - spent a few hours walking last night with Jess, around the reservoir - followed the track by the railway (this is a narrow-gauge railway - not as problematic, I don't think, as a network rail one). Spent the night in the car and retraced steps, early this morning, coming back up the 496 - was worried about disused quarry but didn't see anything. Got Jess barking but nothing. Walked through Tanygrisiau - saw a couple of people (gave them fliers). Come on lovely girl - we need something to go on - please.

Thanks Maggie and Jo xx
Stay safe Meg until we can help you get back to your family xx
Maggie
I've bumped Megs page due comment below saying possible sighting

I'm planning on doing the roads and tracks around the reservoir this weekend - the area needs blasting with posters before Meg moves further on away from home - if it was her. xx

Hi Jo and 12, I've messaged owner on her facebook wall and asked if she can read blog so she can answer questions, but may be quicker to call her directly xLast edited: 2012-07-29 19:59:55 by Rachel LDNWA

Yes - was out very late last night and at 4 this morning - no signs - difficult area. Has the owner any idea which way she went - have there been any possible sightings at all - are there any favourite places she likes to go. Has she been missing before and found in a certain place - sorry for all the questions but trying to get something to go on. x
12
Went for a walk/drive in the area today but no sign. There's a railway running close by, quarries, old mines, lots of crags - impossible to know where to look without knowing more of where she might have been likely to go.

Thank you Rach and Jobadger for all your help.
Fingers crossed Meg is safely home very soon x
jobadger
Hi Rach - many thanks - yep the postcode is good - it just gives me some idea of where to start. Trouble is - it's holidays - just by the slate caverns so there will be a lot of people around and if she's been picked up she could be anywhere by now. I'll go through there later on on Saturday evening when things are quiet and possibly very early Sunday morning....... Let's hope she's home soon... xxLast edited: 2012-07-27 15:50:39 by jobadger

Hi Jo, I haven't heard back I'm afraid but I do have the postcode LL41 3LN if that helps at all? It says on Facebook that all local kennels in Gwynedd and Conwy have been contacted x
jobadger
Thanks Rach - I'll go for a drive round on Sunday if she's not home before then. Perhaps you could let me have the location when you get it. xx In fact, I'll come home through that way on Saturday..... Can you ask - does she normally bother with sheep? I presume local enquiries have been made - Has anyone phoned Dolgellau or Aber? This is where she might have been taken if picked up. I'll get in touch with all local vets too.Last edited: 2012-07-26 18:33:18 by jobadger
