- Hi Angus, thanks for letting us know. As you say wait and see but don't hesitate to contact me if you need assistance. Regards

- There have been no further sightings of this dog since Friday of last week, I am going to remove the trap for the time being as soon as I get my van back from the garage, the villagers have been doing some digging and it seems that this dog had also been seen with a small group of illegally parked vans on the Swanbourne road, these vans were moved on at the weekend and it is quite possible that they dog had been crossing the fields by Church Farm Fishing Lake and ending up on the Beechams in Mursley where it was being sighted - at this point it looks like the dog has gone with the vans but if it reappears we will be straight back out to search again

- Hi Angus, anything happening on this dog?

- Hi Angus, not a lot of use to anyone tomorrow morning but can go out tomorrow afternoon if you get any fresh sightings. The weather is supposed to be grim tomorrow so I guess the dog might stay holed up somewhere!Last edited: 2012-07-30 18:29:59 by ClaireC

- Nothing at all - I may have to remove the trap in the morning until we get some more sightings

- Any news on this dog today Angus? x

- I have been back out and re-baited the trap no sign of any action at the trap during the day - have added some stinky pilchards tonight - had a wander around the churchyard in Mursley as this is a nice quiet place for a dog to hide out - there is a nice spot by the electric substation that is cool and sheltered and would be an ideal place to bed down. Drove back through Stewkley and then back tracked to Drayton Parslow and back home to Milton Keynes - will be back out again tomorrow

- it does look more likely it is the GSD cross , I think Teddy is so fluffy that it would be described that way, Also the collar colour does make it more likely.Hope there is a succesful conclusion for who ever owns it.

- Hi Angus/Jill, I did manage to have a word with Sam (Teddy's Mum) this morning before I went out to Stewkley. Had a good long look and drive around very slowly through Stewkley, Drayton Parslow & Mursley and a bit beyond. Spoke to lots of dog walkers out with their dogs this morning and have made them all aware of this dog. Some didn't know but a lady had seen it this week but couldn't say what gender the dog was. She hasn't seen it since but it was hanging around the churchyard but have to add that was earlier on this week and she hadn't seen it since. Will happily go out again if not caught by Monday if this helps.

- Claire Weston Turville is out having a look around at the moment - I have asked the home owners to keep an eye out and try and photograph or get a look at the coat type now they know the detail that we need - the local dog warden has advised that they do have a collie x gsd missing from HP21
( dog is not on site with us ) which is described as older and brown and was wearing a pink collar so this is also a possible candidate - I totally understand that Sam has her hands full at the mo and to be honest unless I get a clear description that ties it as a possible for Teddy then scenting is not top priority at the moment but once we have a better idea of the sighted dog if it is a possible then we can requested scenting stuff at that point.
I will be back this afternoon to re-bait the trap and have another scoot around. - 2012-07-28 09:24 Jill "GSD lady" Murfin
- I know for sure Sam will want to help if she can do if there is any chance this dog could be Teddy; if you are setting more fresh food bait would it be worth trying to get a coat or something of Sam's to leave down aswell so Teddy can smell her Mum and Sam's other dog ??? if you think this may work and cant get hold of Sam please let me know and I will contact her for you or mention it to her..... i am sure you will have her contact details though; so wont need me to intervene :)

- no calls from garden owner over night - will go back after work and re-bait with fresh food
- 2012-07-27 22:33 jansus
- I totally understand. she has her hands full at the moment and it is horrible to get false hope , lets hope the dog is caught or perhaps someone can get a photo because if it looked remotely like teddy I am sure the owner may want to help. I know though it is a remote hope.

- I am speaking with Sam [ Teddy's Mum ] very regularly at the moment and have sent her the link to this sighing of "a" GSD . . i have said not to get her hopes up etc etc but we do know Teddy was wearing a red collar when she disappeared.
Sam has had her horses water troughs stolen during the day yesterday - 26th july - and some of her horses manes were plaited aswell so she is worried that someone has been watching her fields etc..................hence why she may not have been about too much today! There is a very good and valid reason :'(
Fingers and paws crossed here that the trap works tonight and we can get some identity info about the dog :) - 2012-07-27 21:33 Angus
- been out this evening and set trap in a garden where the dog has been raiding recycling bins - the good news is that it has been there twice today so fingers crossed for a quick result, the owner of the garden where we have placed the trap is a dog owner and all the neighbours are on the look out. Reports from today suggest that the dog is not emaciated but is very thin, light golden in colour and the collar appears to be quite a bright pinky colour, the sighters were not sure of the coat length but will try and see if sighted again . fingers crossed x

- Teddy may have been wearing a red collar - and it could have faded or been changed for that matter . If it is a long haired GS I am sure the owner may want to help - just in case it is her. I will keep checking in for any news
- 2012-07-27 19:04 jansus
- dont suppose there is any possibility it is Teddy ( as gender unknown) ? Do we know if long haired or not? I will check about the collar.

- Hi Angus, I have just arrived back from Stewkley/Mursley area having driven around to see if I cold see the dog! Not sure where this dog has been sighted as Stewkley is quite a large area, however coming from Wing direction and entering Stewkley village with the pub The Swan on your left and drive a few yards further near the bend on the righthand side of road, there is a (which looks to me!) like a derelict house with a few good hiding places for a dog to go to. There are 2 old (derelict - again to me!) cars in the front garden. If you walk down the public footpath it leads out onto fields. Not sure if this is where the dog has been sighted near by. Good luck for tonight with the trap. Regards.

- just had another call from homeowner who has spotted this dog again on her road, happily trotting along it turned around and dissapeared into private land when she tried to approach, it was wearing a pinky coloured collar - I am going to put a trap in this ladies garden this evening and we will see what happens from there - my Dad and the homeowner are happy to monitor and bait the trap so fingers crossed for a swift result x

- Please can you have a look at Rambo 39820. It is not really that far away for a stolen dog that has become too hot to handle and he has been missing for a few months now so would have become quite skinny if he was on the loose xx
- 2012-07-26 22:03 Angus
- My parents live in Mursley and it was my dad that called this dog in - several villagers have seen the dog at various points , trying to pin point the last sighting and then we will try and get a tap out x

- I was supposed to be viewing a house in Mursley this weekend but have had to cancel due to other commitments, otherwise could have had a look around for him/her. Might be worth advising local estate agents as they are out and about all the time doing viewings/valuations, etc. Is there anyone local who can put up posters?
- 2012-07-26 15:00 Angus
- sketchy info at the moment but this german shepherd dog has been seen raiding bins between the villages of Mursley and Stewkley - (LU7) Said to be getting very emaciated - trying to find out more so that we can get a trap set up on one of the farms to try and catch
