  • Other Info Friendly dog, found wandering in the early hours (1 am) on camberwell road (Wyndham rd end). Taken to Battersea Dogs Home at 3am. Please call the Dogs home using ref: 2012/01906

Thanks Jayne, I just get attached too easily, I've got spare posters of him in my room and it's just so sad.

Lex dont beat yourself up on this...you did the right thing ...he may have been run over if you had not saved him...infact would definately have been run over in London...at least he had a painless passing and some people that cared around him...maybe the medical problems caused owner to abandon...though we dont know that..but you and Battersea were their to help him.

Sadly, I have been informed that the dog (I've named him Banner) has been put down on medical grounds. No more info as yet though I have asked for more.

He was a friendly little chap, I only wish I could have looked after him myself.

Unfortunately I did not see your message, and thus did not contact the warden or police - this is because on the night I found him my local council told me they do not collect out of hours and the police said to go to Battersea first. It did not occur to me to contact these people again. Though I did put up posters in the local area.
