WOO HOO chuffed to bits Major is BACK HOME where he belongs.

After another sighting in the Little Digmoor Almond Tree area yesterday, he was trapped today in an Old Folks Home.

His family and everyone else have worked so hard in their search for him and it has finally paid off.

Thank you to Jackalee and AnnieSparky for the texts greatly appreciated. Best texts to get with the great news another one is reunited.

I've uploaded a REUNITED photo of Major with his mum who is overjoyed and should be.

Seem to be hitting a dead end now. A lost advert was put in the free paper but we are now nagging the paper to run an editorial. I wish the owners would get more sightings at least it gave everyone hope and strength to carry on searching

DogLostJulie - Area Co-ordinator - Surrey & South London
Such a shame there have been no sightings for a few days - is there a chance someone has taken him in ? I suppose that is always a possibility really. Hopefully if Major is in Champion newspaper today it will bring some much needed news. With good luck - Julie x
shell195

Just managed to see posting by owners on Majors Facebook page (with help as like a few of us not quite on F/B yet!) of a possible sighting today....crossposted to here:

Do you know where Major was seen dragging his back leg ? It may be he is still close to this area and has found a quiet spot to rest up - would be worth checking under bushes, hedges anything like that just in case. I am so sorry I am in East Sussex so not of any help to you on the ground but praying and hoping he is found quickly. If he has a favourite squeaky toy or something similar may be worth going near to the area he was last seen and giving that a go as he may come out to a familiar noise. On the other hand maybe someone has found him over the weekend and taken him to a vet etc. and they are having to wait until Monday to confirm his microchip details etc. With all good wishes to you all. Julie. x
AnnieSparky
Thanks shell....you have done so well to keep trying. It is very difficult.....are you in touch with the owners or can they post on here?
Just wondering whether the previous posts on here were checked by them ie the poor dog in RTA on M6.
Am sure D/L helpers in area will help and are looking out for Major.
Good to see hes microchipped but the more info we have got the better about what has been done already ie posters, have vets been notified, dog warden, traffic police (as seen by motorway).....rspca etc, where are they searching now?
Its good about the facebook page...that will help spread the word.
Twitter is another good one, local papers, radio.
I was out that direction today and was looking out for Major.....yes it is worrying esp if injured.
Will email D/L to see if there is any more advice.
Well done shell x
shell195
I have asked over and over again for people to join here but sadly they havent :( There have been no sightings for 2 days now which is rahther worrying as aomeone said he was dragging his back leg due to an injury from a car. This facebook group has been made for him but I think you will need to copy and paste it https://www.facebook.com/permalink.php?story_fbid=10150948981921302&id=720396301&ref=notif&notif_t=wall#!/MajorSkemsMostFamousDogLast edited: 2012-08-05 21:47:05 by shell195

Oh poor Major and his family....I have been keeping a lookout but wasnt sure what had happened. Thanks for info shell195.....maybe a NW co-ordinator can contact them or they can ring D/L for more advice.
Be good to have info posted on here if possible so we know how further to help.
Stay safe Major x
shell195
This family could use some advice as they are running in circles and sadly they appear to be getting false sightings x
DogLostJulie - Area Co-ordinator - Surrey & South London
Is there any news of Major ? So sad for the poor dog involved in an RTA on M6. Thinking of you. Julie x
Paula Marie
Know it is a distance away, sadly husband reported warning signs on M6 motorway Junction 20a near Poplar Services and body of a large breed that had been involved in RTA on hard shoulder.
Hope it isn't Major, but needs to be checked out with Traffic Officers.
Sorry if this causes any upset to owner.
DogLostJulie - Area Co-ordinator - Surrey & South London
It may be he is tired, scared and exhausted and if he has been clipped by a car he could have found a quite place to hole up and rest for a while as he has probably been running on adrenaline. I do so hope he is soon caught safe and sound and back with his family. With all good wishes for catching him quickly. Julie x
shell195
This is the first day with no sightings of him I wonder if hes changed his location
