Just seen this update on Facebook other lost dog site.

we have him home safe and well. my mum was driving past a local pub and he was outside with some man who had been given him by a man sayin he had been tied up and beaten thats why he took dog! well this obviously wasnt the case..... the police are investigating the man who had taken him as he also has a yorkie which is probably a missing/stolen dog to i will keep u posted on how casper is and what actually happens to the bloke many thanks for your help anyway im just so happy to have him back also i have him booked in today to be chipped many thanks again

On another site the owner has posted that the dog warden has said it is now theft by finding The police have been informed and they are putting posters up

Surely whoever who has told the owner this must have links to whoever is the finder(who has broken the law by not reporting the found dog) .Perhaps the owner can then contact them and try to find out that way. I live locally and still am looking out when around the town

Just reporting that it says on another site that he has been passed on by the finder - no more details but passed on as in sold or given away not informed the authorities type finder.
