Thanks again everyone : ) Jayne I put mum's number so if anyone rang they could find out up to the minute info, rather than second hand from me (looking after my Grandad in Tunstall) I really wanted to be home and helping, but I couldn't, so I did internet based stuff instead. And yes, she's so so so happy, having lost her older dog just weeks ago, she was just traumatised by Bruce's disappearance. Phew! : D And thanks for ringing Jan, I'm not sure how we missed you x

Just wanted to thank everyone so much for the kind comments and advice. Postering is DEFINITELY the way forward, he was found when the chap who had taken him in last night saw my sister putting a poster up. Thank you so very much, I will be registering to be a helper, I can't express how horrible we all felt, if I can help in return, I will x

I've also contacted the two local radio stations asking for a mention on air. I don't know if they will, but if you don't ask, you don't get!

I have thought the same - in fact, I'm really hoping that if someone picks him up, they will be worried by his very dramatically damaged looking front paw - we know it's a birth defect and Bruce certainly doesn't know any different - but perhaps someone will be concerned enough to take him to a vet or phone the dog warden. Fingers crossed. x

If someone has picked him up over the weekend they might not try to contact anyone to report him until tomorrow.

Thanks Angelmort, will have another look x

Hi. There has been many cases of little dogs like yours, not being lost but trapped somewhere in the house re in a cupboard, under reclining chairs, inside a settee. Especially if you don't know how he got out. Turn the house and garden upside down. Good luck x

Thanks Sue and Lizzy. Have checked with dogs home and every internet site I can find, also put on Facebook. Posters going out as we speak. Will contact vets and dog warden tomorrow - so frustrating this being Sunday - have checked with local emergency vets with no sign. I'm not actually the owner, that's my mum, but she's so frantic and terrified she can't breathe. Her 15 y o collie passed away recently and this has really opened things up again. My sister is out putting posters out right now. We are all so grateful for your help.
