Definitely a good vet .. well done! It shows how important it is for all vets to scan dogs. Welcome home to Rocky .. wonder how you got that far away? A lovely ending for Rocky and his owners.

Where are you Rocky... I carry posters of your cute little face in my car, you are never far from my mind. X
Zeus
come on little man show yourself. d/z X
rocky
still no sightings, have put more posters up bit further afield near parks and water holes and busy areas. lots of people looking out for him still which we are grateful for
hopefully see him soon.
Nadine Widdows
Thinking about this little man and his lovely family most days... will FB and Tweet again. x
Shereen
no further sightings of Rocky at the moment...more posters going up and he was also in Get Reading newspaper Wednesday so bumping.
Shereen
Ive changed the wording slightly for any new posters printed, just to say if Rocky has been found, that BY LAW the Dog warden needs notifying.
rocky
have spoken to police they don't take in dogs but they do call the dog warden. The dog warden gets in touch most days, have also notified microchip company. Thanks Zeus
Zeus
lisa i have informed my vets just in case he is picked up around shinfield ways. have you spoken to the police and council for an update ( sorry if a silly question)
rocky
thanks for all your help zeus, no news yet but have contacted local paper, so it should be in this week, if any more sightings will let you know
thanks again.
Zeus
Lisa Nadine if you want me to go out looking still just tex me and me a d Zeus will go out looking
Serena
I tweeted an alert for locals yesterday, & someone just responded: "there was a dog found in Burghfield today, poster on co-op window directing people to vets - prob not yours... You never know!" - no idea of breed, and a few miles away but I thought I'd pass this on just in case. Fingers crossed for those searching today.

Apparantly when he was sighted he was wearing his collar as thats how my mum was sure it was him when she saw his picture.
Nadine Widdows
Zues, good to speak with you earlier and thanks so much for coming out. Hope to see you early evening. Nx
Nadine Widdows
Kirstie, thanks for the info, invaluable. Lovely to meet you yesterday and thank you for yours and the salon's support. x
Nadine Widdows
Another sighting this morning at 9am by the Fire Station (sighted by bin-men). Lisa had friends searching there from 10am but disappeared again. Lisa says he seems to be doing a circle so I'll be heading over to meet Lisa later afternoon with 30 odd posters and we are going to poster and search like crazy. Zeus, he lives with dogs and is fine with them... he is very nervous of some men. Defo worth taking a lead. No mention as to whether his collar is still on though. Zeus, if you want to hook up with us at all, my number is 07867 540301. Nx
Zeus
do we know if rocky still is wearing a coller? will take an ex lead out tonight with me, seems to be getting closer my ends. do we know if he is ok with other dogs?
Shereen
Hi Kirstie,in fact this is very helpfull..it give us a time and idea where he is traveling thanks for that..ive alerted Rocky's owner to your mums sighting which isnt very far from home ...further advice given.
Kirstie2207
Hi you popped into the salon where I worked this afternoon asking if we've seen Rocky. Ive just asked my mum if she's seen him and she said that she saw a dog matching Rocky's description on the corner blandford/ hartland road at approx 7.15am this morning. I know this proberly doesn't help now but it still a sighting. I hope you do find him soon x
Nadine Widdows
Shereen, yes! Lisa said about scenting, she has gone to get some unwashed clothes and I have given her some food to put down. They are continuing their search this evening. X
Nadine Widdows
Hi all... Shereen, I do have your number and called it today with no answer which is strange. Can you resend your number hon? I am just back from searching with Lisa/owner. I have postered and spoken to many locals. One chap saw him at 12pm today on the small green at Winton Road so our search this afternoon and evening has been around that area. Owner has no ink so I will print more posters tomorrow and search/poster again late afternoon. The mum is so so sad. Praying he is handed in soon. X
Shereen
Sorry no sign of Rocky today..but I also didnt see any missing posters up in the area...Purple cat reunited with owners who luckily had a chip,he was laying happily sunning himself in the garden minus the gloss paint this morning... some nasty person had painted him!

Owner you need to print some missing posters to put up in the area...I did speak to lots of people today and gave them doglost cards if they spot him but the school is all locked up and he could be hiding there and you cant get in....I did notice workmen there so may be worth approaching them if you see them to see if you can gain access into the school and check the overgrown areas? also went to the sports centre on Northumberland Ave and sat there for a good while (Which is where I was alerted to the purple cat)...lots of people walking dogs would be worth looking up in the 'rough' area beyond the field? also spoke to castle vets, who the owner had already alerted but Rocky hasnt been handed in there...stay in touch with the Reading Dog Warden also.I really hope hes found safe and sound soon but you really need to get them posters out there as there are lots of people around who will keep there eyes peeled for you!Last edited: 2012-08-16 18:16:03 by Shereen

Just spoken with Lisa (Rocky's mum), they are missing him desperately and searched for 12 hours flat out. I will be postering the area late afternoon/early evening; Lisa has suggested I check out the leisure centre area as that is where he was seen. Come on Rocky, let's get you home! x
Zeus
