- I am so upset for you and precious Zena and all your family. This is a dreadful outcome. Zena is safe now; she will never feel pain again. Please know Zena would have gone to heaven quickly and she would have gone straight into God's arms. I lost my dog the same way and I understand your pain. I have made no sense of it but I have to trust there is a reason, or I couldn't make it through. I so wish it didn't happen for any of us. Please remember you DID find her. She is no longer lost. She can rest peacefully knowing you have found her. I truly believe she is watching over you now and you will all be together again. Zena has earnt her little wings. God bless sweet Zena and you her loving family, forever. In time, I pray, your hearts will know peace. With Love. xxx

- I am so sorry and saddened to read this awful news. I had checked earlier to read any updates and couldn't find her on the lost or reunited page, so obviously her page was being updated at the time. I was praying for good news, but sadly not! was she making her way back home to Chester? Run free Zena xxx

- email from owner...
Just to let you know that Zena has been found. It's not good news. She was almost home and was hit by a train. Network Rail let us know an hour ago. We're devastated.
Thank you so much for all your help, you really are an amazing service and if I can help in anyway in the future please let me know. - 2012-08-20 22:10 Deb4gsd
- Thanks for letting us know! The trouble is, it's a holiday area and somebody may have found her and taken her home with them if they were staying on one of the holiday camps or even on a day trip. I walk my dogs there sometimes and it is a vast area of sand dunes, not to mention all the rabbit holes etc. Where exactly did she go missing from, was it on the beach or in the sand dunes. As I said earlier, she could have walked along the beach or a grassy area which will lead to Presthaven Sands Caravan Park in Gronant. A lot of people hire bikes and ride along this area to reach Talacre, also there is a horse riding school nearby who take their horses along the dunes and beach, might be an idea to get in touch with them to ask them to keep an eye out for her! Have the local rescue centres been contacted? Hope there will be some positive news very soon!

- Oh no, I was staying at Haven Prestatyn Sands last week, right on the sand dunes, we were at the end of the campsite too the Talacre Beach side. Wish it was this week I would have been out looking for her, Hope she is found soon x

- there is endless amount of sand dunes for the dog to have dissapeared into! could also have made it's way down to the holiday park Presthaven Sands by following the path from the sand dunes. Or may have gone in to the main part of Talacre where there are shops and cafes, and another Holiday Park! There is also a pet shop in Talacre, worth getting a poster in there! Hope she is found soon, thankfully it's a busy time with kids off school and people on holiday so plenty of people will be on the beach and in the sand dunes to keep an eye out for her as long as there are posters out there!

- Theres also a possibility if its wandered far enough and got to the colliery that it could have gone across the beach to the Ffynnongroyw beach, it's a straight run, takes you to Mostyn docks. No where really for it to go from there unless its gone on the main road. Prob with that beach is the wall is low to the railway line :(

- It is possible she could have gone across the sand right through to Prestatyn beach. Not sure of the walk only ever gone that way on the back of a motor cross.

- I'm from that end originally. Has the dog gone wandering across the cob, its the bit between Talacre beach and Pit Road where the miners collery was/is (Tan-Lan)?? I used to go down pit road with my collie, walk across the cob to the RSPB hide/hut thing to watch the birds and make my way over to the sand dunes in Talacre. It could even have made its way to tynamorfa (behind the bypass)... Just a thought of other places not just the beach. Maybe its wandered up to Gwespyr. Hope it helps. Local people will know the places I've mentioned :)
