- Im gutted, I was so hoping this was Pip, I hope she finds the home she deserves, I would love her if no one claims her. The search continues for Pip. The Stow cum Quy game fair is on this weekend, if anyone is going might be a good idea to poster, unfortunately I won't be there. I am going to the Sandringham game fair in a couple of weeks I will go armed with flyers and posters.

- Mugsy - I'm well aware that Pip is a stolen dog (I have followed her case from the very beginning) and the reason I listed this 'found' dog in the first place was due to the incredible likeness she had to Pip. I also never suggested 'Pip' was 'dumped' by her owners!!!
Any information I have posted has come directly from the kennel manager, so please feel free to take it up with her if you have any issues.
Scruffpot - sorry to hear this dog isn't Pip. Will keep looking out for her and hope she is reunited soon xxLast edited: 2012-08-25 18:28:20 by Gypsy - 2012-08-25 11:25 Scruffpot
- It's not Pip :-( . Just read FB update from owner. Last edited: 2012-08-25 11:26:49 by Scruffpot

- Hi Gypsy. So sorry to hear that an op is necessary. If this is Pip, then it has occurred since she was stolen. She may have been pushed out of a moving vehicle :-( . She would NEVER had suffered such a trauma at the hands of her original owners.
Mugsy-Pip's owner is in touch with the vet I believe, so name and her own training whistle may well have already been tried.Last edited: 2012-08-25 11:17:37 by Scruffpot - 2012-08-25 08:29 Mugsy
- If you look at both photos this could be Pip, has anyone tried to call her Pip to see her reaction? Having had dogs that have had neurological problems I hope this is a consultant who has diagnosed the problem and not a general vet. If it is Pip, she is a stolen dog not one that has been dumped.

- Hi Scruffpot. Sadly the neurological problem has been diagnosed by a vet and she is due to have surgery soon. I too hope this has not been caused by a head injury. It did occur to me that she may have been a working gundog who has suffered trauma and been dumped due to the resulting health problem. x

- That is sad to hear Gypsy. I hope that isn't due to an injury from a blow to the head. The head tilt could also be due to an ear infection and circling could well be due to stress (I know, I now have a rescue working cocker).
Pip has no other distinguishing marks that I know of.
Pip's owner is aware of this dog, is currently investigating and prepared to travel. Fingers crossed everyone.Last edited: 2012-08-24 21:52:42 by Scruffpot - 2012-08-23 21:17 Gypsy
- Very confident this dog is a Cocker. She has mild neurological problems - slight head tilt and circles compulsively. Consistent with either a head injury, or birth defect, although it is much worse when the dog is excited.
Sue - I asked the kennel manager to check for any disguishing marks and scars and none were reported x - 2012-08-23 11:28 Sue Radford
- I really don't think this is Lottie: however please let me know if there is a large scar on this dog's right thigh. Looks like a young field spaniel to me.

- If not Pip is there any chance she could be a Field spaniel? Thinking of Lottie missing from UB9

- There is a very high traveller presence in this area at the moment, many of which are still drifting back after the Appleby Horse Fair in June. I have been visiting some of these sites in my search for stolen Archie from Choppington.
Pip was the first dog that came to mind when I saw this dog...but this one seems younger to me. Really couldn't be sure though. Does Pip have any scars/marks that could help to identify her? - 2012-08-20 21:08 Kimmybear - Area Co-ordinator, Essex & Hertfordshire borders
- I have contacted helper Scruffpot via email. Scruffpot knows Pip as her own dog is closely related to Pip. Pip's owner works the farm, so we'll see how Jayne and the trainer get on. I have been told kennels do not think it can be Pip because so far from home but as we know, it is indeed possible. Yes, could also be 40806 as RCPersse mentioned, but we need to find out if the black female's chest has white on or not? Let's hope it's one of them! x

- 40806??

- The white on Pip looks more but this one has been clipped recently that could account for this...our team of matchers certainly think its worth investigating especially from the length of the ears. The kennels are closed until tomorrow...but will call and askk them to call her trainer who has a special whistle and see what her reactions are as she is a trained working dog to that particular tone of whistle.

- It certainly looks like her, fingers crossed, she needs to be found.
