Raine. I think a lot of volunteers on DogLost check sites on here to see if there is a match. I know I do. Pleased this Senior Citizen is being taken care of:-)

That is very true and has always crossed my mind. I only try and cross-match with Doglost because I am not familiar with any of the Rescue Homes other than one I used to help at. I hadn't even heard of Doglost until a few months ago via fbook so I agree there will be many old people "like myself) who have no idea. This little one was found on the canal - I live near a canal and walk my dogs there so they could be on holiday yet. I also fbook many of the links. Hope they find her owners xx

The problem with a lot of elderly dogs, is their owners might be elderly too and have no knowledge of the internet or this site. Its all very sad. On googling elderly terrier cross, I came across lots of missing dogs on gumtreehttp://www.gumtree.com/pets-missing-lost-found/uk/terrier.

Can I ask whether there are volunteers who check gumtree and other free sites to see if found dogs could be matched??

No owner as yet, but she is being taken care of very well and spoilt by staff!

thanks twoDs. unfortunately i could'nt find the facebook page. is there any sign of an owner? she looks elerly and if it were me i'd be searching non stop. my little jack is 16 and i'd be devastated to lose her.
