At the end of the day they should of atleast had a tag on her BY LAW you have to. Never mind microchipping them they have to have a tag.. Which u can get for about £5 and yes £300 is quiet abit but thats the council charges and all the jabs she would of had to have when she was taken to the centre and if she wasnt neutered then a scan to see if shes in pup.l it all adds up and the fact that they have been looking after her for nearly a month. Why did u not contactthe dog wardens straight away? Its not the rescues fault at the end of the day. They only have to wait 7days by law before letting her go to a new home.

Do really feel for the owners, people like pdsa are brilliant for help if low income,I am sure would help with microchip and spaying however that doesn't help till you get your girl home, might be worth approaching them though they might be able to help or give some advise.best of luck x

Yes I fully appreciate we are incredibly lucky to have these charities etc. and how costly vets, kennels etc. are but if the family are of limited means imagine how upsetting it would be to not be able to afford to be able to get your pet back. I hope everything works out. Julie x

Do we know for sure that this dog is def. Lola? I looked at 4 long coated GSDs and they all look very similar...very attractive dogs...

We are so lucky to have these charities and if you think how much kennels and vets charge £300 although alot of money is possibly right when you think the outcome could have been worse without these brilliant charities being there for us. Lets also just hope that she isn't in pup if she isn't neutered we have enough dogs already in the system those that are lucky enough find a space.good luck to all involved.

Strewth that seems alot of money I know there are costs involved but under the circumstances of her being reunited with her family perhaps they could look again at this amount. What do they charge new owners - is it a donation fee of £150 which seems the norm at the mo. Do hope Lola is soon back where she belongs. Julie x

Sorry to ask this but is this dog definitely Lola have they actually been to see her?

Hope everything works out for Lola, and her true owners. She is a sight to behold; gorgeous. Stay safe Lolaxxx

I am moving her to reunited because owner knows where she is. It maybe a good idea to get a breakdown from the rescue of the £300.00 and also make sure they contacted the dog warden when they took her in. If owner had been in contact with DW when Lola went missing then DW should have married them up. Hopefully things will be sorted out soon.

She has contacted them and apparently they have new owners for her even though they've only just started advertising they have her and they want her to pay over £300 in vet bills because they've scanned her and looked after her and stuff. xXx
pixiemum
She has contacted them but is waiting for them to get back she believes it is lola and is so happy that everyone has helped will let you know when are if she gets home and also if there is any puppies on the way lol

Keeping everything crossed that it's Lola, they certainly look very much alike. Good luck...can't wait to hear that it's her!

I hope it's Lola, I rang the number on the poster and have also pm'd Just for Dogs fb page with the poster's link (as they were closed) - too much of a coincidence for them not to be the same dog. Everything crossed for there being a happy reunion today
nessabros
This surely is the same dog. Same markings etc. I will eat my hat if not! Keep us posted x

I have just enlarged the poster picture and if the dog on the site below is not Lola then it is her twin. Keeping my fingers tightly crossed that it is and she is home safe soon before she is rehomed xx

Owner needs to contact DW, vets, try local radio and the local paper. Check sites on the internet. Contact Railtrack. Talk to the postman, hand out flyers to dog walkers and post them through letter boxes. Contact any local farmers. Poster asap.Last edited: 2012-08-31 12:08:37
