Hi Stars owner, have a look on Lotties website (Terrier Jack Russel stolen 22 Feb, I think), there is a reference yesterday to a van load of stolen dogs being picked up in Stokenchurch. Might be worth checking with dog warden or rescue centre at Stokenchurch? just in case your girl was on board. Theres are no other details given, but Good Luck, LindaTLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Hi Nutty, Fingers crossed with the found rotties!! We have recently had our dogs stolen Penny & Archie both Patterdales from RG9 & OX postcodes we are only in Turville just down the road from Stokenchurch and are constantly keeping an eye open for ours so will keep eyes & ears peeled for your Star as well. An article is due to appear in the shooting times regarding the two spaniels recently stolen from RG9 these belonged to a friend of ours as well. The whole area is very rife with dogs being stolen!!!!! Thinking of you and fingers crossed. Louise Pennys Mum & Archies Mums friend!!!!Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Hi there, I'm having difficulty in contacting the two recently foudn rotty contracts from 7/12 and 29/12. I have left messages but no response yet. I have just left a message on the Doglost number for Jayne to assist me in making contact. I would of presumed that they would automatically scan her for chip so I am doubtful but you never know - fingers crossed. xxLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Any news on the rotty found? I presume it isn't Star or she would be in blue. Hope you get some good news very soon. SueLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Thanks - will give them a call first thing in the morning. I was interested but very pleased to see one out of the two dogs from high wycombe reunited today. The interesting part was that the missing dogs had been seen around the Cock Lane area. I had a tip off a fortnight ago that Star (or a rotty bitch closely matching her description) was being kept at a house near Cock Lane. My other half went down to investigate that evening but couldn't see her at the address given - the chap has CCTV installed in his garden. I was told yesterday that he has since moved the dog elsewhere. I contacted the local dog warden and asked for him to go in there for me and scan the dog but he wouldn't without the presence of a Police Officer- who do not take it seriously as I cannot prove that she was actually stolen and as they state "has just gone off for a walkabout ....". I start to think positively when I see the latest Rotty reunited story where it has taken 6 months. Just hope she is ok.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Hell Stars owners; I guess you`ve noticed the found Rottie on the website yesterday? Fingers crossed for you that it`s your girl. I still keep a check on the posters I placed, will put up more if they dissapear. Good luck, did you get in touch with the guy at the dump in Wigans Lane, Bledlow, if you remember he said a friend in Aylesbury (I think) had a lot to do with Rotties and would heve known if a dog suddenly appeared unexpectedly. Hi Linda, thanks for your message. That's interesting - a new lot of them moved in locally and appear to be causing trouble. Appreciate it that Star is still not forgotten. I am going to start looking in the Free Ads for Rotty pups as she was due to go into season so would be pups anytime now .....Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Hello Stars owners, thought I`d mention one of the posters I put up at Lodge Hill, Bledlow (on the Saunderton side on the Ridgeway path) has been removed, but I dont think the farmer would have done it and it was very well secured with drawing pins. I will put another up in next day or so, see what happens. Bradenham farmer has had deer butchered in middle of night, thinks pikies are around. Maybe they have taken poster? Hi Jayne, Not a peep - nothing. I have found out that another Rotty bitch went missing a couple of days before Star in the next village to us and has yet to be found. I have also been told that a further two bitches have been taken locally but not sure how true this is. I could drive myself mad wondering how she is and where she is - I just hope that whoever has her is looking after her .... The posters are still up locally and the word has definately spread which is good. I even had an exeperienced Blood Hound come and have a sniff around to see if she could trace or point us in the right direction. Sadly, we didn't find her but was interesting that the Hound took us to the part of our home where we believe Star was taken......Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Nutty, it won't mean a lot yet - but you have loads of helpers in your area, some of whom have already gone through dog theft themselves. They are the most amazing bunch of people and everyone here will help you through this until Star comes back home again. Have you found the local gypsy sites yet? Come on you HP helpers lets get going and bring Star on home. Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Thanks everyone for your support - I still can't believe she has gone - we are devastated - the kids keep asking for her. I have just got back from placing posters in the local chip shop, local pub and local shop. I have contacted Petlog with regards to the chip to notify them, I contacted the local Dog Warden this morning, the Police, the local Dog Rescue and Vets in the area. I also visited the neighbouring farms - I just feel sick. Sorry if I'm rambling but I am just gutted. Thanks again everybody :-(Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18
