  • Other Info Wez was in the park with his owner and she let him off the lead and he got spooked by another dog. He ran off but stopped by the childrens area where 2 men tried to catch him. He ran off scared out of the park up the road and in and out of traffic with the men after him. Wez comes from Liverpool so does not know the area. There has been an UNCONFIRMED sighting in a local back garden. PLEASE call the owner on the numbers below with any info/sightings. Thank you.

So relieved this lovely boy has been found. Hope he is OK and not too traumatised by his ordeal. Sheltie Lady - you were one of the two people I was thinking of as I knew, even if you weren't near, you would help spread the word. Welcome home, Wez, and stay safe now. Gentle (hugs) from me and my sheltie girl.Last edited: 2012-09-03 14:54:42 by BonBon

Brilliant news xx
the sheltie lady
The word has already been spread around us all in the sheltie world - its been posted on our lists and forums - lets hope Wez shows himself very soon and he can be brought back to safety. I'm much too far away to help look , but I know other sheltie people are helping to search. Fingers crossed now for some good news .

Totaly agree, Karen. There are a couple of Sheltie people registered with DogLost and wonder if Admin could alert them. Am sure they would help spread the word, even if not in the area. Wez looks so like my bridge baby,Wellington. I hope he is found safe and sound very soon. Carole

Can the owner let all the sheltie folk she was with know to circulate? The sheltie world I hope would help as I know how difficult it is to catch them when spooked, sometimes other shelties will draw them over plus lots of treats;I've got shelties too so understand when they bolt. Also has the owner left something smelling of them that could be put in the gardens where he was last seen the other night? Karen.

The owner comes from liverpool, she was visiting her son who had had a baby and was due back home after a dog show today. Hopefully a feeding station can be set up in one of the gardens he was seen in last night at 10pm. One of the house owners tried to catch him but he ran off but he did respond to his name been called.

Owner needs to contact DW, vets, check sites on the internet. Visit the local dog pound. Poster asap. Put an ad in the paper and on the radio. Hand out flyers to dog walkers and through letter boxes. Try putting down a food source close to where he went missing and his bed or toys etc.
