Thank goodness Maisey is home. So where did the person who put her on facebook get her from!
DogLostJayne - Founder Doglost.
Maisy is back home thanks to an eagle eyed person on facebook who saw someone trying to rehome her...the person was 2 hours away in Herne Bay....Maisy certainly did not get there on her own...

pixie peeps .. the Harrow Inn is on the Ridge, Hastings. On a very busy main road with lots of foot traffic too. Owner would be wise to contact ALL dog wardens in the area (http://www.animalwardens.co.uk/lost-found-dogs-search/all-dog-warden-phone-numbers) as Rother, East Sussex & Kent border this area. Also .. the 2 collie pups that were reunited were apparently found with assistance of Rother Wildlife Crime Officer PC Keith Baldwin(see their page) and address in Netherfield (not far from Hastings) was checked so sounds as though owner would be wise to contact him and Sussex Police.. am sure Jayne would help with contact numbers on this. May be coincidence, but in the last few weeks dogs have gone missing in our area... Teasel(42476)from Dallington is also still missing and no sightings at all. A lab/retriever Megan (42756)disappeared but no postings on her page so may be home. Can't see Rocko (as mentioned by Barry Boy) mentioned on this site tho. There have been lots of holiday makers in the area so if Maisey strayed from garden she could be further afield.. so local rescues to check .. Blue Cross, Northiam, RSPCA Brighton/East Grinstead/Sussex, Barby Keel Bexhill, Raystede at Ringmer, Kit Wilson nr Uckfield, Dogs Trust, Shoreham. ~~There are also a lot of open fields and woods in the area, so it's worth having a search there as she has been missing for nearly a week now. Have been in contact with owner on PawsN hoofs fb and asked her to put more info on here regarding area maisey went missing as it is difficult to know where to start looking.I uderstand near a pub but which one I dont know.Have advised her to poster locally and vets as she seems unclear what to do.as it is on animal wardens obviously the dog warden has been informed.Last edited: 2012-09-07 10:36:42 by pixies peeps

East Sussex Police at Bexhill have advised that on the 30th August a Red & white American bulldog named ‘Rocko’ wearing a blue collar was stolen from the Sidley area of Bexhill by man described as white with a big moustache and driving a green coloured Toyota. This is only a few miles from where Maisey has gone missing. Are the incidents related I wonder.
