I felt so warm and loved in my carers arms

- I am devastated to report that Marley passed away last night. His fosterer has posted the following message on the Many Tears Friends Forum:
'Marleys condition rapidly deteriorated last night & I had to make the sad decision to let him go to Rainbow Bridge
He died in my arms at the vets knowing he was loved & cherished for the short time he was with us.
Marley was a nameless stray with no-one to love him until Sylvia stepped in to help him. He could have died a sad & lonely death at the council pound but instead was given the chance of some comfort in his last days.
Run free Marley, we loved you very much'
He was a beautiful old boy and it's so sad that he had so little time with Julie but thank goodness for the doggie angels who made it possible for him to take that final journey in the arms of a kind person, free of pain (he had painkillers and massage for the arthiritis), no fleas, soothed skin and most importantly with love in his heart again.
I'll see if I can get a recent photo of him uploaded - the transformation was incredible xxxxxx - 2012-09-18 22:39 Unknown
- Am really thrilled to know Marley has a new home, and will have the company of other canines. He looks lovely now. Presume he was abandoned then to be in such a poor condition when found? Have a great life in your forever home Marley. YOU DESERVE IT:-)xxx Loads of ((((HUGS)))) from mex

- Well done everyone you've all done a fantastic job in looking after him and finding him a lovely home to spend what time he has left. He will be loved for however long it is - maybe longer than envisaged with all his doggy pals and being loved xx So happy xx
- 2012-09-17 20:49 B30
- This old fella is now called Marley and he's in his new home with eight other doggie companions. His new Mom describes him as a lovely old boy who's enjoying his food and she will keep us updated on how things go.
A HUGE thank you must go to Many Tears Rescue and their wonderful fosterer Julie (Marley's new Mom), Folly who offered him a home (see below) and Wiccaweys Border Collie Rescue who were also prepared to step in and give him a place to go if all else failed and last but certainly not least, Jenny who isn't on here but has worked so hard behind the scenes liaising with people in order to get this result.
It's not clear right now how long Marley will be around, the vet who previously examined him seemed to think it might be only a few weeks but if that's the case then at least they will now be good, pain free weeks in a loving home.
Wishing you lots of happy days in your new home sweetie XX - 2012-09-17 13:01 B30
- Hopefully this evening Jan

- Irish Retreiver Rescue are faband they take dogs in the UK as well.
- 2012-09-14 20:35 Jan.Petsearchuk
- Just to say that this old boy has been shaved and is feeling much more comfortable. There has been contact with one of the Retriever rescues but I'm not sure which one. If anyone would like further info then please contact Crowfoot Kennels where he is at present on 07928014873. No doubt he would be better in a quiet home due to his age and condition (I believe he has a stomach mass).
- 2012-09-13 22:21 jobadger

- I can only repeat what others have already said. I hope this poor dog is / has already had a nice bath and hair cut which will no doubt make him feel a lot better. Who's looking after him?
- 2012-09-13 16:44 Folly
- Poor, poor boy. I have just contacted Golden Retriever rescue about him. I'm sure the lady will be in touch. I hope he has not been abandoned but from the state of him, that looks likely. Someone will take him in and love him. Me if necessary!
- 2012-09-13 14:38 mathers22
