- Oh what a relief!! I am sooooo pleased this girl has been found safe and well!! I've kept logging on for updates, much like Millys Mum I'm sure :) Please, please, please get her chipped straight away - it can relieve so much heartache. Any chance of a reunited piccie?? Stay safe now Sky xx

- Oh what fantastic news! CroydonDogWarden - thank you SO MUCH for keeping this beautiful girl safe. Where and when was she found and was she reported by a member of the public? I knew that we could rely on your fantastic 'service'. I'd been worried about the busy roads and also if Sky had ended up in the wrong hands and so such a relief to check on her DL page this morning to find she is about to be reunited (I know that Barney 'n' Ozzie's mum will also be relieved and happy to read the news). It seems that Sky was neither tagged or chipped and so, if this is the case, hope this will be rectified today. As we all know, you really can't be too careful these days. I'm so happy for Sky's family. Thank you again to the ever caring CroydonDogWarden. And finally, welcome home Sky - stay close and keep safe... x

- Hi All
We have the rottie girl, I have spoken with the owner and she is on her way to collect :-) - 2012-09-16 22:32 Millys Mum
- Barney 'n' Ozzie's mum - yes, you are quite right I'm also a 'fellow' Rottie owner. I've had the pleasure of sharing my life with four since 1984! We currently own a Rottie girl, Milly (hence my DL name) aged 7. And, as you also so rightly say, like you, I've been a DL Helper on this site for several years and so have learnt alot along the way! I would imagine you are still missing your dear Ozzie like mad - such a lovely breed... Some great ideas, advice and suggestions on here, especially involving the police. You might find them more interested because of Sky's breed and we certainly don't want her getting in the wrong hands! Rottie's are so family-orientated, that Sky will already be missing her family, home comforts, routines and food. I also reckon it's likely that she might return to Burger King and so good idea to leave an old piece of clothing nearby, if possible. If frightened and hungry, Sky might also decide to visit Burger King once the restaurant has closed and so worth late night and early morning visits.
Lou would you update us please. - 2012-09-16 21:55 Barney 'n' Ozzie's mum
- Just a thought, but if she was successful in getting food there, she might well return. It might therefore be worth you leaving something with your scent on it near by - like an old jumper - but try to leave it somewhere so that no one will move/dispose of it. Has anyone emailed you scenting instructions yet?

- Hi Lou. Please make use of the advice given by Millys Mum. She, like me, has been a helper on this site for a long time and, I think I am right in saying, is a rottie owner herself?? Our rottie boy Ozzie passed away last November, but I know what a gentle, loyal breed they can be. Do you know if there is any CCTV around the Burger King that might pick up what direction she went in? Would they be willing to display some posters for you? Even though the Police no longer get involved with strays, might be worth asking them if anyone has reported finding her. Stay strong - you WILL find her xx

- The other sites to keep a VERY watchful eye on are:
Gumtree / Pets4Homes / epupz / ukclassified / preloved. It's VERY important to check these sites at least 2/3 times daily. Is Sky friendly towards people, children and other dogs? And, as Barney 'n' Ozzie's mum has asked, did Sky go missing from home? Is Wellesley Road close to where you live? How many posters have you put up as you need to start with at least 100?! DogLost can also send you mini-flyers (4 to an A4 page) to your email address. You need to request these via the main DL telephone number. Just get these printed onto, preferably, brightly coloured paper (orange is good) and hand them out to all and sundry. That way, when someome spots Sky, they will have your contact details to hand, rather than having to return to a poster. But as Barney 'n' Ozzie's mum has also said you really need to make Sky the best known and hottest girl in town as 'stray' dogs without ID can be legally re-homed after just 7 days. - 2012-09-16 21:04 Millys Mum
- I'm so sorry to hear that Sky is missing - what a beauty! The number for Croydon's Dog Warden is 07881 501 467 (they're very good and very caring!) but just incase she's wandered into the London Borough of Bromley's 'patch' (probably doubtful) their contracted-out dog warden service is run by SDK Environmental and their contact numbers are 01753 538 819 or 01753 538 941. Also contact the PDSA (7 Hurst Rd, Croydon) on 020 8686 3972. It may be that a caring person has found Sky and taken her in overnight and, as it's the weekend, they would have difficulty making contact with the relevant people until offices re-open tomorrow. I'm not sure which vets round your way offer emergency 24/7 cover and so make contacting all local vets a priority.

- Make sure you get up HUNDREDS of posters. Did she escape from your garden? Can you leave a gate or door open in case she makes her own way back? She could have been picked up by an out of hours dog warden service, so get on to all your local vets and rescues first thing on Monday (dogs can be rehomed after 7 days!) Let your bin men, postmen, local taxi firms know. The more people looking out for her the better. Wish I lived closer to help. Fingers crossed for you xx
