- Thank you for the update Steve. Might be an idea to get her spayed, as this is often the reason a dog gets taken. Those who are spayed and chipped are more easily returned, so the person who found her did very well indeed. And you did well on getting the word out. Police should have come back to you a long time ago, they need to clamp down on this sort of stuff, even if there is an awkward situation to deal with, police need to be aware of who to watch etc. Sometimes situations work themselves out. Just so glad she is back with you. Big kiss for Jazz X

- Hi everyone. Thank you for all your kind and welcome comments... The police are still to get back to me regarding her being stolen. Just so you all know, the person that found Jazz knows the people who took her, this puts him in a difficult situation. We are all so pleased she is back. We went out and bought her a brand new (pink) collar and leadnd name tag, so if this happens again, should be reunited quicker. What amazes me, is the fact that these people said they have had her for two weeks. Its apparent that they are not only liars, also they were going to keep her! They also passed on that she had been mated with, so this seems to be the reason why they took her (to make some money from pups?). The Vet has checked her over and she is not pregnant. We only hope that these people parted with money to get Jazz, as it was different people who had her, from the original guy who knocked at the door. That should teach them to be more carefull! Anyway, thanks again for all your lovley comments. Speak soon..

- Saw the video. Well done! Well done to those who grabbed her back and I'd like to know what happened after that! :-) Steve, these youths may have been the ones that were following dog owners, earlier? I hope you have told the police as these youths need to be dealt with. But the most important thing is Jazz is safe and sound back with you, her loving family. Get locks on those gates now. I hope thieves get what they deserve. Welcome home precious Jazzy! xxx

- Stephen, did you get my email? The answers to most of your questions are in there. Did you get a crime number from police? Not incident number but crime number? This man was suspicious enough, walking down your side gate, to provide police with evidence of as crime. He was trespassing as well. If he knew something he should have reported it to the dog warden. Something is definitely not right here. Highly suspicious activity as you also thought. The name he gave of a dog, proves this. So if he was told that was the name, why was he knocking at doors? Was he helping to find owner. Sometimes people see thieves pick up a dog and they ask what is going on? Thief makes up a story about finding the dog and claims they are taking dog to police station and they never turn up. Did this man see the thieves? Was he genuinely trying to help find the owner? Or was he something to do with it? Either way we need to find this man. Police need to find this man. It makes no sense with everything else you said. You need to contact the Dog Warden, the Highways people and the council roads people. If she has been hurt they will find her and will tell you. They do not scan dogs collected from the road so you have to call them, not just once, keep reminding them. Dog Warden should be your friend, so call the council for the dog warden. Reward is already on the poster - unscrupulous people will be more interested in assisting you. Genuine people rarely claim a reward, but it will help to get others who may know something on board. I really think you should go to the paper and tell them exactly what happened. This way you can advertise the reward but don't say an amount, just say large reward for information leading to her safe return and also leading to information to find this man to help with enquiries and ultimately finding Jazz. The paper should run this story because of the circumstances surrounding it. You'll need a description of this chap, as best as possible. They don't just run a lost dog story, but this is more than that, okay? Remember what I said in the email, you do not part with any money unless you see your dog in front of your nose! No matter what they say, it is not true unless you see your dog. However, if you get anything dodgy let the police know and us! You need 100's of posters! This is how people know where their dogs are, because the public will act as your eyes and ears. They will be everywhere you are not. You will have thousands of eyes on the case. The most important thing is to make her famous and don't give up, because she is out there, somewhere. We just need to put pressure on, so someone calls. And they do. Let's get this precious girl home. Can helpers assist with posters please and sharing this page and Jazz FB page. (Even if you get her in the paper you still need posters, as people are not carrying the paper when they see her - they will need the phone number from a poster in area). Thank you. x

- Went out looking again tonight. Still no sign, starting to wonder if she has been killed (accident or otherwise) or if she has been taken further afield? Kids really miss her, am thinking about advertising a reward, just to see if thats why they stole her. Whats the best thing to do?

- Owner has advised that a man with a bicycle was in the area and found at the side entrance to their property. When approached he asked if anyone had lost a dog and gave the name of this dog, which happened to be a really unusual name and was the house name of next door. Owners replied no. Man knocked at neighbours house asked same thing. It is believed that Jazz was gone at that point. Have advised owners to get crime number from police, they already spoken to police but I don;t know whether there is a criem number. Was this man genuine, if so why was he acting suspiciously? Was he a decoy or actually looking for dogs. Also, youths in area had recently been following dog owners. We need to locate this man and if his presence was genuine he will be eliminated from enquiries, if not, we need to find out what was going on and what happened to Jazz. Also, we need to locate the youths who were following dogs prior to this. Any help greatly appreciated. If anyone knows anything, please contact Southend on Sea police, and owner.
