- This is just too sad. I couldn't post on here for a bit, as it is so upsetting but this precious baby is now safe in God's arms, and has definitely earned his wings. There are no answers as to why awful things happen, but sometimes God needs his special ones back home quicker than we would like but He makes sure they go to heaven quickly. Owners, please know that he is no longer lost, you DID find him and he can now rest peacefully. He is always with you and one day, you will be together properly once more, all of you. This I truly believe. That which God binds on earth, will binds in heaven. Look after Perry, he will find it hard too. In time, I pray that your hearts will know peace. x

- I'm so so sorry. Strongbow has really struck a chord with me, as a lab lover myself and having also experienced my boy falling into a strong and swollen river. My boy made it out but it could have been so very different and i will never forget the heart wrenching moments where time stood still. Thinking of you and sending healing hugs. Strongbow is where he always been - right by your side, some bonds can never be broken. Shine bright and fly high over rainbow bridge big guy xxx

- It is with desperate sadness that we tell you that Strongbow, most beloved of our little family, faithful companion to me and Scott and fiercely loyal brother to Perry, passed yesterday. We found him earlier today and brought him home with great care and love with the help of dear friends.
Thank you for your support and friendship these last few hours. Those who know me well, know how greatly we loved and adored Strongbow. He had the gentlest heart and the strongest spirit.
We will love and miss him forever - 2012-09-25 19:36 reggiemollieros
- Have posted the link on David Lloyd gym Facebook page asking them to post it properly on there page. Hopefully someone is monitoring the page tonight. I have shared on twitter too. I hope Strongbow is found soon.

- We've emailed Holly Hedge, the Dog Warden, ETM recycling, David Lloyd and the Environment agency. We've put posters out at Ashton court. Still no sign of him.
- 2012-09-25 13:21 dinkydoodle
- I will put the word out as I know some local people as I work near here. Has Holly Hedge been informed as they are near here - and Ashton Court Estate, Bristol DW. I can't do anything today but may be able to help with something towards the end of the week. Great he is chipped. I hope you have some news of Strongbow soon.

- He fell in at a bridge in the proposed stadium site in Ashton Vale. The river separates the field from the David Lloyd gym. I saw him go in and I dived in after but the river was so fast that I had to get out. We've looked this morning and there's no sign of him. We've alerted the Environment Agency which looks after the river. About a mile from where he fell is a grate which filters off anything in the river - we went there and there is no sign of him there.
Map centred where he fell is at:

- As digbysmum says, labs are strong swimmers so there's a very good chance he'll manage to get out. Make sure you get lots of posters up along the river in case his microchip isn't picked up. Fingers crossed xx

- I found a photo of Strongbow, bump his page so admin and Co-ordinator see this

- Do hope Strongbow manages to get out of the river - labs are generally very strong swimmers. Hope he is back home soon, safe and sound xxx
