A "pointer" male has been found in the Essex/ Herts area, gone to a rescue, am sure they will have scanned but will ring them tomorrow just in case!

Where did the owner get him from, was it a registered breeder, have they been in contact with them as well? I have never ever (in my 20 years in dogs) heard of this breed, so they must be very rare and very very easy to spot??? I'm about 25 miles away but will poster here in Essex as well as we have quite a lot of "travellers" coming through this way. Fingers and paws crossed this end for Charlie's safe return XX

We need to really be aware of any dog of this vague description, from mongrel/cross breed to Pointer, and I think very similar to Spinones too.

A Korthal is a Wirehaired Pointing Griffon (had to look it up) but they are very similar to a German Wirehaired Pointer, which I guess is what people would think he is

Couldn't quite get my head round this Korthal last night since his head is definately Basset Griffon. According to various French websites they seem to be Korthals or Griffon Korthals..... As a precaution, I'll send the details to BGV Rescue.
