Oh Helen, I am so sorry. Please, know this was not your fault. We can't always stop bad things from happening no matter how hard we try. Even if you had been there, something else may have happened instead. When our fur babies go so tragically it just rips our hearts out. It is totally unfair and unkind. It was probably very quick as he just fell aleep in the water, with no pain. The pain you feel now is because of the love you have for him and that is really a beautiful thing as that love lasts forever. You WILL see Billy again, of that I am sure. And this time you will never, ever part! God bless. xxx

Dear all
thank you so much foryour kind words and thoughts. We are still coming to terms with losing Billy- everyday I wake up and think he will come bouncing into my room with his wiggle bum to greet me and then I remember I wont see him again. I am so heartbroken I can hardly function but my friends and family and my little Alfie are helping me through it. I keep blaming myself that I should have found him and he wouldnt have jumped into a pond that he couldnt get out of - and I bet he was trying to stay alive - I miss him everyday . Thank you for all your words and thoughts XXX

Billy and his brother Alfie were on the Common and both went missing together. Billy went to heaven from the pond and sweet Alfie didn't leave him, that is why it took ages for Alfie to come home himself. True love and devotion. God bless you Alfie, your brother will look after you from above. Helen, I know this is so hard, but Billy will always be with you and one day, you will all be together again. xxx

So sorry to see this. My prayers are with Billy`s owners. At least you have closure, and your boy passed to Rainbow Bridge doing the things he loved best, and you can lay him to rest. Try to find comfort that you have not lost your lad forever, as one day you will be reunited with Billy at the bridge. Night, night sweet one sleep tight, then play in the lovely sunshine with your pals. Please look over your owners who really need your strength at this very tragic time. Just realised how poignant this is. Today is St Francis' Sunday, patron saint of animals. I suspect St Francis helped sweet Billy to be found today and will always be taking care of him for his loved ones. x

Sadly, I have heard from Billy's owners to say sweet Billy had gone to heaven. They found him earlier today. I don't know all the circumstances but they told me he had died chasing rabbits and jumping in water, things he loves to do. This is very sad for owners but I know they are pleased that Billy is no longer lost, he is found, and I suspect he went to heaven quickly straight into God's loving arms. He can now rest peacefully whilst he waits at Rainbow Bridge for his family. Owners want to be helpers so I advised we would love that, but first they need to grieve and I will be emailing them later tonight. God bless you precious Billy, you handsome, gorgeous chappie. Your family love you SO much and I know you will always be together, forever. xxx
