Oh my god,The comments have made me want him more !!!
Looks like I gotta turn on the charm for OH, So glad he gone to rescue now and safe, Which rescue is he in please ?
The thought has just come to my mind though, In the post that his 'owners' had put on gumtree, there was another dog pictured too, bet theres no way to find it now though (Hope its not a punch bag too) !!!!

Mitch has now gone to rescue where he can be assessed and rehomed - I hope that he gets a fab new home x

This dog used to be my next door neighbours before we moved. His names mitch and he is about 3 yrs old. Used to get on lovely with my 3 yr old neice. Cant believe he escaped from that hell hole. They used to thump him and hit hime with sticks and though they were playing with him. I REALLY LOVED THAT DOG,!! Shame im only on benefits or i would rescue him myself.

Is he only a youngster can only really see his face on here and with him being white round his mouth I can't really tell. He's lovely anyway x

He didnt say no to having him, But he thinks if we decide to get another dog we should maybe think about getting an older dog (an oldie as he put it) But im still working on it lol ;)

Spoken to other half, He hasnt said yes but hasnt said no either, just its a long drive, Any way of finding out if hes castrated, would be good with kids (Only 1 5 yr old to contend with the others are all teensagers)

Mitch is still at the kennels today but he does have that family coming back to see him later this week so fingers crossed - I am so sad that his owners have not been for him especially after the kennels made them a fantastic offer just to collect him. There were lots of people at the kennels today offering prospective homes for the' inmates ' which is good

You have been there long enough now Mitch, I do hope the couple come back to give you a very deserving home, Your owners cant really be that bothered or they would have been in touch even if to say they didnt have the fees and to let you go, as a family were struggling financially but i would rob peter to pay paul to get you home so maybe you are better off with a new family xxx , I swear I would have you if finances would allow :) x

I have been to these kennels today to give a home to a bichon that was on this found site, I have met Mitch, a lovely dog, while I was there a gentlemen came to look at him with his wife and they are coming back in the week with their border collie. I hope they do not mind me posting this!

Also the lady at kennels did say she had told the owner that he could collect his dog even if he was in hardship, what a lovely lady.

I dont know how your owner/s could leave you this long knowing where you are, Even if the fees was an issue If you were mine I would have still been in contact with the kennels

I am going to keep looking to see the outcome for him. At least he's had a lot of interest shown in him. It breaks my heart when I see all the dogs on her lost and found and they never get a mention, nobody's bothered (by that I mean the owners, or the previous owners) it's just like their dog never existed. Then you get the exact opposite where an owner's dog has been missing for months and one sounding like there's is listed and they say "could it be mine missing from......)and I know what I would be like if I lost one of mine - inconsolable. he will now be available for re-homing and if the kennels cannot re-home directly they will pass to another rescue in due course.

His seven days are well up - has he been rehomed - or sent to rescue? I couldn't leave any of mine knowing they were in a stray kennels - I would starve before i would give them up but we don't know the circumstances and p'rhaps his people think he's better off where he is............ I hope you're out soon gorgeous. xx

Looks as if they have decided they no longer want him...lets face it if I had lost any of my boys I would drop everything to be at that kennels immediately and get them home.....pretty sure he will soon be reformed if this is the case as he looks a lovely boy....

its possible - sadly they have removed the gumtree advert so now have no other way to make contact other than by phone - I hope that they can get him out otherwise I am sure that he will be rehomed from the kennels

just back from the kennels - sadly Mitch is still there - owners have not yet been in or actually called the kennels themselves - the kennels called the owner whilst I was there but the call went to answer phone - very sad for him at this moment in time

Ok after a little chasing - owners phone is knackered - I called and got silence when they answered it so I have been texting and owner has been emailing me back - owner could not get to kennels today but has emailed kennels so hopefully they will now be in contact - I had previously also emailed the kennels to advise that owner had been located & will follow this up shortly - owner is working over weekend so may not be able to collect until Monday - my heart is in mouth at this point so I can't move over yet - they did however ask for this message to be relayed

Thanks to all your help and i would absolutely love to pass on all my heart felt love and thanks to all your kind colleagues who are absolutely amazing.

On the ad there is 4 available photos and I would say it IS this missing one xx Have messaged the ad owner with details, hopefully they will be in touch soon :) (sure its the same dog, same white markings on legs, face etc and one blue one brown eye)
