- Woody turned up in a garden some distance away, where the people took him in and cared for him. He is fine and very glad to be home.

- shared on fb. Owner please make sure you contact Bristol dog warden and visit the dogs home in person. Contact all local vets and Holly Hedge. Plaster the area with posters (please update pg with a pic so posters can be printed off by volunteers), shops, schools, every street corner. I hope Woody is found soon.

- Owning 3 german shorthaired pointers myself I know their sense of smell is fantastic so scenting it a real priority. Our dog walker lost one of beautiful girls, she was missing overnight, in an area she didn't know, it was pouring with rain all day & night BUT we left a coat of ours where she had been let off the lead and at 5.00am when we went back at first light, there she was curled up - God did we cry. We know she had travelled at least 10 miles as when we knocked on peoples doors, some people had seen her. So keep looking, scenting and passing the word. Stay safe now xxx
