Fetitas helpers have checked the Rossendale group and added fetita's details. The lady (Carol Fenton) who saw the dog has replied saying the dog she saw was not Fetita...The search continues.

Something has just triggered again a red collie was seen by the Eagle and child Pub near Ramsbottom on Walmsley Road a couple of nights ago also. This is a real coincidence. Will try and copy the posts x
honeyharvey
This is a bit of a weird one but someone saw a collie running through Waterfoot centre last night in a red collar. people went to then look for it but not caught as yet but sure it will be reported to the local dog warden. It is Waterfoot in Rossendale and was on either Rossendale Missing pets or Rossendale Sensible Pet site x The dog should be taken to Aspen Kennels rescuecentral.webs to check strays if caught x

Hi, have you checked on gumtree I've noticed there's loads of dogs on there site for sale

Fetita has been featured in the Wigan Evening post & Wigan Reporter twice now Jane002. Fetita's FB group also paid for an advert in the Observer and the Wigan Courier. The camera operators have also been contacted with her photo and details. Posters displayed at various times around the town have likely been removed now, or worn away due to weather, perhaps you'd be kind enough to post a few more up around the area if you get the chance?
jane002
I live in wigan and didn't even know this dog was missing - haven't seen any posters around and with my job i drive all round the wigan area when i get called out during the night, haven't seen a dog matching this dogs description so far. Have you tried the wigan evening post - instead of the manchester evening post, as most buy the wigan evening post round hear - also have you tried contacting the camera operators as a lot of the wigan area have cameras up including robin park.
Sadieanne
@Leanne - A dog similar to Fetita was seen on Robin Park Rd on the 31st Jan, but obviously it's unknown if this was her? The girl was in a car and the dog was standing in the road.
I have quite a few (Still Missing) posters already printed if anyone is prepared to put them up, I can send them out to you. Email me on anneveggie46@hotmail.com

We had a "greekie" missing for many months a few years ago but his microchip came up trumps when he had had enough of living rough ... I hope the same happens with your girl. I cant help on the ground as am in Norfolk but if there is anything else I can do please let me know.

Thought it was weird re Shannon as we had just put posters up in that area, I will keep posting details on twitter and if there is a sighting I'll go out looking, I drive past the hospital twice a day but not seen her yet.
maxine
we now fear the recent sighting from shannon was a hoax by a silly 12 year old girl, we are gutted.
Diane67
We went up the canal yesterday at 4 pm then we went around Frog Lane/ Gidlow Lane yesterday at 5pm putting new posters up, then we went back up there last night at about 10pm, drove around town (the places she's been sighted) no joy, been back up today putting more posters up along the canal past the stadium

copied this from Team Fetita ...okay this is the latest....for all you wigan ladies...anne is just back home trying to salvage her tea......she has been very very kind and followed up a lead i got whilst driving in glasgow!!! i got a text from shannon telling me she had seen fetita at the bus station when getting off the bus near gidlow lane and deane high school at about 6pm tonight, when i called her back, turns out this was a super 12 year old girl who saw the poster on gidlow lane whilst at her friends....she was so helpful, she told me that the dog looked like fetita on the poster and had white running down her chin to chest, looked scared and was cowering and was walking near the stand at the bus station when she got off the bus, we talked and she remembered her looking skinny and 'messy', but she meant matted fur.....all alone and i spoke to anne immediately, we are sure from the description that this was fetita, anne has just texted me to say she searched there and town and nothing...ladies as this is a good lead from very astute young lady we have to assume it was her, when i rang shannon again, i asked her about a collar, she could not remember a collar, but also admits she did not look too hard, and only after walking to her friends and seeing the poster on gidlow lane did she twig this was fetita the missing doggie...wonderful young girl..i asked her to tell her friends at school, she goes to this high school and also to tell her parents and other adults, she promised to tell her mum i spoke to her so not to cause any trouble for her....
jobadger
So good to know this little girl is still around. Good luck to all who are searching...........xx
Diane67
We have been back up to Wigan Lane by the hospital placed some posters up and down the road, walked into Haigh Hall and spoke to quite a few people walking their dogs, stuck a poster on the bridge in the plantations also dropped a poster off a the Orchid Room cafe
Shereen
Thanks So MUCH Diane67 and Janeyc68
Diane67
Have been up to the hospital to have a look (8pm) went as far down as Tesco and up to Walterscott Avenue, hung around by Haigh hall gates and drove around the area, I also spoke to 2 people walking dogs but no sightings, we will go back out tomorrow and take a walk around the area
janeyc68
Just another thought. There is a cafe facing the Haigh Hall entrance on Wigan Lane just past the infirmary and it is usually packed weekends/bank holidays with hospital visitors and dog walkers. Its called the Orchid Room Cafe - 01942 825600 - might be worth speaking to them and getting some posters up. The are dog friendly and have dog bowls outside for them. If I wasn't at work tomorrow I would pop up and ask, but if someone can contact them it may help.
Shereen
Thank you Janey
janeyc68
Am unfortunately at work tomorrow, but can tell you I saw her at the visitor car park exit near the bus shelter. Saw her at approx 4pm ish on 29.12.12. She was heading in direction of Wigan centre. Haigh Hall Wigan Lane entrance is just across the road woods & shelter and the hospital grounds have loads of areas for her to shelter too. Hope this helps.
Shereen
Thank you Janeyc68...would you be able to meet someone there to show them where this was ?
janeyc68
Have just watched the Youtube video and I am 75/80% sure it was her. It was the brown tinge to her coat and she looked as though she had a dirty coat. I think the man was a coincidence as he didn't acknowledge when I went past which normally dog walkers do, as I was keeping my dog to one side as she sometimes woofs at strange dogs....I feel so bad now as I think this could be her..she was so timid and tucked herself into the wall as I was going past. I have added the contact numbers into my phone in case I sight her again. The more I think back the more I am convinced this was her. I even checked the Doglost FB page last night but didn't see anything about this type of dog in Wigan. I will check next time I am up there which is usually every other day and weekends.
janeyc68
I may be wrong but I saw one very similar to this but it was yesterday afternoon...but note she has been missing since August? She was on Wigan Lane outside the hospital, she wasn't on a lead but appeared to be with an older gentleman. She was very nervous as I was walking with my GSD. I think she had a collar on. I didn't look to try & get hold of her as I made an assumption she was with the man. There are loads of woods etc & areas to hide around there, but as not far from Gidlow Lane, may be worth checking. I will keep a look out next time.

Thank you Jayne for bumping Fetita ... I hope all of this gets the results we are hoping for xx

Hi,

There is a video circulating facebook today of Fetita which has been
kindly made up by someone to help try and find her.

We are also going to try and gather enough money together on her
facebook page to get a large advert in the paper for the area and
immediate surrounding areas of where she went missing and has been
previously sighted.

In view of this would you be kind enough to bump her page to the top
again to raise awareness.

This girl will be lonely and frightened as she is new to this country
and she really needs our help to be found before the terrible winter
weather sets in,

Thank you so much.

A sighting of Fetita has been reported. She was seen towards the end of the working day, on Mon 22nd Oct, from the offices of the Canal and River Trust, (Waterside House) by a member of their staff. Their office is on Waterside Drive, Wigan. They have very kindly, circulated Fetita's poster and details, to all their teams that work along the canals.

Bump due to coverage in the Wigan Evening Post tonight...
Paula Marie
No new sightings since the 20th. Postered canal from Manchester rd to Poolstock and put flyers through some doors near canal. Noticed one poster stuck on a wheelie bin and thought this was a good idea, could I please ask that anyone in the Wigan, Poolstock, Ince and Hindley area's able to print off stick a poster on their wheelie bin (ask family/friends who live in these areas). Might only get seen once a week when bins are emptied, but will get noticed by passing people and help make people aware of Fetita and keep her in the news.
sachanliz, please ask your partner to thank the bin crews for looking out for Fetita.
Merlintrude
Sachanliz thank you to you and your partner for your help !!. Sadieanne it's wonderful to see that sightings are coming in (even if slowly) as it shows that people are on the look out for Fetita
Sadieanne
A black dog looking very much like Fetita was seen on Sat 20th around midday. Near to Cygnet St, in Poolstock, and heading towards the canal. The lady who called in the sighting said the dog appeared to be alone, and looked quite well..
sachanliz
Paula Marie, it will be your brothers neighbour :o)) But I will ask my partner to keep up Fetita's profile... I believe the crews are due to be in / around Gidlow Lane area tomorrow / Wednesday. My partner is supervisor so will ask him to mention it again to everyone in canteen before they leave in the morning, printing poster off now for him x
Paula Marie
sachanliz, could you let me know did your partner take in posters or were they given them at work. Just wanted to know who to give a BIG BIG thank you to your partner or my brothers neighbour.

Thank you to everyone who helped to poster today, we have highlighted lots of areas for postering. We have put some up but will be busy doing the rest over the next few days.. A big thank you to Helen who handed out a few hundred flyers in the town centre and Alan's bike shop near train station for displaying a large poster in a prominent place in the window. A few shops also allowed us to leave flyers to hand out to customers.

I would like to come over and help and thought as I may need to come on the train but not very mobile yet) that I could be more useful if I could help if I distribute flyers to the shoppers in Wigan Town Centre. I have the doglost posters and have also created some myself with 2 flyers per A4 sheet and some with 4 per A4 sheet which can be handed out to many people. As I don't wish to step on anyones toes my email Address is DonkeyOte226111@aol.com so if you email me I can send them to you for a critique beforehand. If you think anything needs changing pleae let me know. I would also like to be able to get to the Old Pear Tree meeting. Who could I ring to confirm on the day if I am able to attend this?

Just called in local printers and got a good deal on copying posters. Ordered 80 A4 size & 120 A4 size with 2 posters on (so 240 when cut) + they are also going to do some larger A3 size.
Thanks Murbros (printers)
Brothers neighbour works for Wigan Council Recycle Department, will call round tonight and ask if he can take some posters.

I will check out the tip/recycling center which is on Makerfield Way, Nr Hindley. Another local tip where Fetita has definitely been spotted is Bithells. Westwood Road, Wigan. 01942 248965. We've already searched this area, but she could return there at any time, so if anyone is passing it's worth a look around.Last edited: 2012-10-18 12:37:23 by Sadieanne

Yes coming Saturday. Checked out websites to find out when they meet ? conflicting info one site says Wednesday and another says Tues & Thurs. Wondered if they meet Thursday 7-9pm, if someone in the area could go down and drop off some posters tomorrow.
Sadieanne
Are you coming on Saturday Paula? Maybe we can arrange it then?

Noticed there is a Territorial Army Centre on Canal Street Wigan WN6 7NQ in the area Fetita went missing. Is anyone in the area able to drop posters off. If not will post some out.

For anyone interested in helping with Postering, we have decided to meet at the Pear Tree Public House on Frog Lane Wigan (Opposite the Deanery High school) this Saturday the 20th at 1.00pm. If you can't be there and have postered a particular area, or if you intend to? perhaps you could leave word here just so we know it's been covered. Many thanks. new photos being added...please refresh page to see new photos

If flyer posters can be emailed could I please be included for a copy. My email is DonkeyOte226111@aol.com. I went onto Facebook and onto Achileas who has quite a few pictures of Fetita linked in. What I did notice is that in many of the pictures of Fetita she has also brown in her coat. I hadn't noticed before on her first Doglost page as she did just look black & white but now a new one has been created it may be helpful for sightings. She does give an initial appearance of black and white but I wondered if this could be added into her description on the poster or maybe another picture of her could be added to her poster showing the colouring?
Shereen
ill send out Alerts myself a bit later...ill add the details to the poster then Paula Marie
Paula Marie
Wondered if it could be added to Fetita's poster that Fetita is previously a Romanian street dog and is very nervous. Could persons who witness sightings just observe and report her whereabouts and times of day.
Also could flyer posters be emailed out. I have a appointment in Wigan Monday and will poster after.
