hi -just wondered if there's a match with the Yorkie on the found list 44387? It's a long-shot and there's not much description or photo. Might be worth giving the phone number a call...

I've bumped Scamp in case others are out there that may be able to assist in a search. Anyone near Bishops Stortford, Elsenham, Ugley, Stansted areas? Thank you.

If anyone can help search, please do so and/or let owner know. If owner is concerned about this, then we need to try and get a search party up. Dawn, it also likely that someone has picked Scamp up and doesn't know how to report this. So keep those posters going up. The other thing is, the sighting may or may not have been him, so keep looking elsewhere as well. He is somewhere. Plus, if it was him, he may well be on way back again now as they do a triangle thingy. If you need more people to help, post it on here and we'll see what we can come with. x

Owner is worried that Scamp may have been run over or had a heart attack and be in one of the fields as she hasn't heard any barking from the fields, Scamp is 13. I've advised owner to keep checking with highways and the council and to see if the farmers are friendly and will keep a lookout and also to see if they will allow owner or helpers to go into their fields, all the ploughing is done now so I can't see why it should be a problem. xx

Bumped due to sighting. Dawn that's excellent. Hopefully is was him, seems a possible area doesn't it? Do the scenting at the sighted area and leave an old blanket or something there for him to lie on. This will part of his triangle. Did you receive the email and open the attachments okay? If not let us know. You CAN do this! Keep going! Come on baby, let's find you. x

DawnF, give a poster or a leaflet to as many posties and milkies as possible, they are good at spotting a dog new to a house or area. xx

Oh forgot, I also contacted local rescue centre too, they havn't had him but got record of him and my contact details in case he gets handed in, both the rescue centre and the police said that they have to report dogs to the dog warden who already knows about scamp. Trying to keep hopeful that he will return!
DawnF
Thanks to all for your advice, I have called police and dog warden, e-mailed local vets and put posters up in and around the area and villages. Put him onto my facebook profile and know alot of friends have copied onto thier walls too. Been out every day round fields and roads looking but no sign of him yet. Will keep looking and asking everyone.

Sorry to see that SCAMP is missing.
  • If your dog is microchipped please let the microchip company know that your dog is missing and check that all details are up to date.
  • Owners targeted by a malicious hoaxer demanding money for the return of their dog should phone the police on 101 immediately and contact admin@doglost.co.uk
  • A photograph of your dog is essential for the website. If you have not already uploaded one, please do so by clicking on Update details. Alternatively you can email it to admin@doglost.co.uk quoting the dog's DogLost ID number: (44152)

  • Contact dog wardens, vets and local rescue centres, and in Scotland, the Police. Give a detailed description with any distinguishing marks/scars or send them a copy of your DogLost poster. You can find vets in your area here.
  • If your dog has been stolen inform the police immediately and obtain a crime reference number (CRN). Send an email to stolen@doglost.co.uk.
  • If your dog is picked up and taken to rescue kennels, it can be legally re-homed after seven days. Visit rescue centres in person and do not rely on checking by phone alone. Other people may not recognise your dog by your description, so give them a DogLost poster.
