- Other Info Pepper went missing from her neighbour's home in Plumstead SE18 on the evening of Friday 26th October. There was a report about 8pm that evening of a black dog being hit by a car on Plumstead Common Road but that the dog ran off, so it is likely that if this was Pepper, she is injured and may be seeking refuge or hiding. She is sweet natured but timid with people she doesn't know. She was wearing a collar with an ID tag, however the owner has changed numbers so the number on her tag no longer wor

- Pepper has indeed been found!!!! This afternoon, but I have only just come back in so am updating things now. Thank you so much to everyone who has helped - it is appreciated beyond words!
Here's what her owner wrote on FB about the big moment: Pepper is home, safe and well!!!!!!!!!! Thank you so much to everyone who helped to look for her, shared her details and put up posters - it worked :)))))))
This is what her owner posted about what happened: A wonderful lady in Welling called Teresa, saw my poster and took down the number. She called this morning and I raced over on my bike. Of course by then she had run off again but there were a load of Welling people rallying round trying to spot her. She was in the Dryden Road area. Finally caught up with her in an alley behind The Green Lantern Pub? I crouched down and she saw me...she gingerly walked towards me as I was calling her, then when she realised it was me she bounced over! I was overcome with emotion! She seems fine, albeit needs a bath! I will get her checked over at the vets tomorrow. She is fast asleep on the sofa next to me...probably dreaming of her adventure!

- Thank you everyone for your help! Sadly, despite numerous people being out looking for Pepper most of the day yesterday, there was not a single sighting. @fried egg, thank you also for the suggestion...the police have been contacted but that is a good idea to let the Safer Neighbourhood Team know - they've helped track down and follow dogs (on their bikes!) when they've run out of Greenwich Park before. It's a new day...fingers crossed we get some god news about Pepper - she IS somewhere.
