Want to say thank you for the help and advice from Doglost and other contributors. It was helpful and made us feel that we weren't alone in our search. Lots of posters and a small reward did the trick - made Dougie too hot to keep and although this strategy involves a lot of footwork we would recommend it. Dougie seems none the worse for the experience!

worth postering in town park as older peoples walking groups are out and about everyday, next walks sunday and monday and they live all over the area, also on wrekin as dogs travel. Also Apley park near PRH hospital as huge amount of dog owners walk there. Am in shropshire regularly so know area well, will alert people I know there. Have you contacted all the rescues, Dogs Trust, Grinshill, also one out at Cold Hatton and just poster supermarket carparks ASDA, also Cash for clothes near there, just everywhere to alert peoples attention...sorry if you have done all this already...there is a lady who works at Furrows, Wellington on service counter who is very doggy and will put up posters and alert people. Good Luck do hope he is found very soon.
