Hi - thank you everyone for your leads. Unfortunately none of them have yet lead to Dollar, we have absolutely no sightings or clues to suggest where she is. We can only continue to remain hopeful. Thanks again

Hi - so sorry to hear about Dollar and your other poor dog. Might be worth having a look at this slightly dodgy ad on Gumtree just in case it is her. http://www.gumtree.com/p/pets/dogue-de-bordeaux/1008363337
Good luck and I hope you find her FAST.

Thank you Sarah. Passing that on. Anything is possible and as you say only 15 miles away. Well done. Maybe posters at the pub? Even if not her, someone may know and if her, someone will know.
Also helper has reported one at Hornchurch Rescue in Essex, but suspect they would check for chip. Need to check though.
Sarah
This is a long shot but... on Tuesday 20th November I was walking up Moorland Road, Burslem at around 4.30pm (away from the town centre and towards the Moorland Inn pub) when a man walked past me (he was going towards the college) and on a lead he had a Dogue de Bordeaux, I'm pretty certien it was a bitch from the quick glance I had. I walk this road twice a day, three days a week and had never seen this dog before and haven't seen it since. I didn't say anything until now simply because I was hoping to see this dog again and hopefully confirm it's gender (which hasn't happend) Dogue de Bordeaux certinley not the most common of breeds and according to Google, Burslem is only 15 miles from where Dollar was taken from... don't know if this will help you or not but keeping everything crossed that she will be home for christmas

Hi there, this is a long shot I know & Im not convinced its Dollar but tonight on FB there was an advert regarding a very malnurished bitch found in Dagenham area although chipped out to somebody in E6 area who isn't answring number so theey wrote to address still no responce. The kennlels holding her are in Hornchurch and have written to the chipped address but as yet nothing. They feel this dog has been stolen. Maybe worth a follow up?

Kennel who have her is Hornchurch Animal Rescue & Rehoming. I wasnt able to copy and paste the link on here

AsI said a long shot but worth a try. I hope your baby is home with you soon xx

Kayleigh
Thank you. I contacted Hilbrae Kennels, however unfortunately it was a male. But thankyou for the lead. The kennels will be keeping a look out for her, just incase she turns up there. Thanks again
coralvb
When I visited Hilbrae kennels last week I am positive they had a DDB there in the pound. This is at Cold Hatton, just outside Telford. TF6 6QJ 07966 515776 Only 25 miles away from Stafford it has to be worth enquiring. Wished I had taken more details now..They must have checked for a chip but they do 'move'.Last edited: 2012-11-13 22:26:52 by coralvb

Dollar is still being advertised in The Sentinel

Owner has followed up a lead from the ad in the paper but it was a cross so not Dollar. They have postered in a 3 mile plus radius of the farm.

Morley/Batley border, this morning 7.11.12. Very large Mastiff type cross bitch, No collar. She was taken to Yorkshire Vets in Morley who has passed the dog onto Cliff Kennels Barnsley. If you know who this dog belongs to please pass on the message. She is a very friendly dog, though strong, but jumped straight in the car.
she is now Cliff Kennels in Barnsley (01226 762391) where she will stay for 7 days. Apparently these kennels have a destruction policy after 7 days. Also a chip hasn't been detected but might be worth checking out just in case x

Dollar is in the paper as a French Mastiff which is another name for a Dogue De Bordeaux.Last edited: 2012-11-07 15:19:39

Sorry to see that DOLLAR is missing.
  • If your dog is microchipped please let the microchip company know that your dog is missing and check that all details are up to date.
  • Owners targeted by a malicious hoaxer demanding money for the return of their dog should phone the police on 101 immediately and contact admin@doglost.co.uk
  • A photograph of your dog is essential for the website. If you have not already uploaded one, please do so by clicking on Update details. Alternatively you can email it to admin@doglost.co.uk quoting the dog's DogLost ID number: (44713)
  • Obtain a missing poster by clicking on View poster above. Posters are very important so start postering now!
  • You will need to be logged in to upload photos, edit your dog's details, or add comments. You can add comments by clicking on Click here to add a comment.
  • Contact dog wardens, vets and local rescue centres, and in Scotland, the Police. Give a detailed description with any distinguishing marks/scars or send them a copy of your DogLost poster. You can find vets in your area here.
  • If your dog has been stolen inform the police immediately and obtain a crime reference number (CRN). Send an email to stolen@doglost.co.uk.
  • If your dog is picked up and taken to rescue kennels, it can be legally re-homed after seven days. Visit rescue centres in person and do not rely on checking by phone alone. Other people may not recognise your dog by your description, so give them a DogLost poster.
  • Keep us updated by keeping your dog's page up to date and check for posts from helpers who may have suggestions and possible matches or sightings
  • DogLost is free and anyone asking for money to find or return your dog is not volunteering for us. If you are concerned about an approach you have received, please email admin@doglost.co.uk
