- Yesterday, i spotted a very black spitz type dog on the A40 at pencraig in
herefordshire on the Welsh border. I tried to catch it but it was too skittish and
raced off down the road. There is a pavement there and I hope and believe it
probably ran into the fields or through the underpass towards goodrich. It was a
medium size and dense black like velvet. I have an impression of a red collar but I
couldn't swear to it. I reported it to the police when it ran off. Hope it has
