- Other Info He is a very friendly dog, quite nosey but is not at all street wise. When we let him off the lead this is in woodland and on the moors so he has little experience of streets and vehicles. He has never shown his teeth and seems to like everyone so should be very easy to approach if found. He has a blue collar but no tag as he chewed this off. He is micro chipped but to our old address in BD5.

- Best news - Harley has turned up! He was sat in our front garden waiting for us to come out so he must have found his own way home.
Apart from being very hungry and thirsty he seems ok and after finishing off some food in record time he has curled up in his bed! - 2012-11-06 11:54 amrehman
- Thanks everyone for your help.
I'd not heard of PDSA so will contact them today and am going to Fleet Lane this afternoon to double check they don't have him (just in case they can't match him to the description over the phone). I've checked with the microchip company but he's not been scanned. They've added a lost notification so if he is scanned it will flag up.
We've put a few poster's up around the local area and are taking some to local shops etc this evening. - 2012-11-05 21:37 muckypaws
- Have asked a friend who uses/knows Gatehouse to forward to them. I work at a vets in Halifax - will circulate too x

I will keep my eye out if hes in Chellow he could be hiding - also keep ringing Fleet lane
:) i hope hes home soon ! - 2012-11-05 17:31 biccy
- A dog lost in Thornton last week and listed on here was handed to the PDSA not Fleet lane kennels by the police and reunited because of its microchip. It maybe worth ringing the PDSA as it would be the same police station who could pick Harley up???

- Tescos, the pizza takeaway, Spar garage and some of the other shops have been happy in the past to put up posters.

- We've been in Heaton just over a year now, before that we were in BD5 but I doubt he'll be trying to get back to the old house as he's very settled where we are. We live on a street just off Brantwood, so quite close to Chellow Dean which is where we usually walk him. I'm going to print some posters this afternoon and put some up in the local areas too. I've checked with a few kennels today & spoken to the dog warden but no luck so I'm hoping someone has taken him in for now.

- Fleet Kennels take all Bradford strays and are on 01274 880408. Definitely worth calling them direct as well as the dog warden (01274 434366). Also contact the microchip company and update your details with them (and add a contact number if they don't have one). Posters are definitely the way to go. I'll keep a look out for him.

- Ashley, how long have you been in Heaton? Could he be trying to find his way back to his old house? Wereabouts in Heaton did he go missing from, just to give us an idea where to start.
When Scuba Ros's dog ran off in Heaton, the posters were invaluable, everyone in Bradford knew about her and was looking out for her! There are lots of hiding places round here if he's avoiding the traffic. - 2012-11-05 11:28 amrehman
- Thanks, I really appreciate your help. Ashley
