- A little miracle happened today (so never give up hope if your dog is lost or stolen)
I was out postering when Tillys owner phoned me to say a vets in Leigh (Vetcare) had rang them stating a dog matching Tilly's description had been handed in this afternoon by a male - don't know any more than this at this stage. I went straight to owners who had collected her and she was fine (such a lovely girl) when they went to get her they didn't ask for more info at the time, other than what I said above, think they were so relieved they didn't ask questions! But this is being followed up.
Lots of people have done so much since yesterday and the Wigan dog warden and police have been fantastic, and this result is just amazing.
Kathryn (doglost) it was lovely to speak to you today you guys on here do a fabulous job! Whether all the posts on here , twitter, facebook & internet etc helped who knows maybe in such a short space in time she/the situation did become very well known? Everywhere we postered today already knew about Tilly's disappearance from the internet & word of mouth which was great!
A big thankyou from Tilly & her very very happy owner. Will get photo to you asap, forgot to take one when I went to see Tilly too busy kissing/ stroking her. Adele x Last edited: 2012-11-06 20:39:34 by Ernieboo - 2012-11-06 18:28 meadowbankles:

- Just had a call...TILLY IS HOME!!!
Full details to follow. That's made my day :) - 2012-11-06 14:15 Jackalee (Kathryn) - Area Co-ordinator - Greater Manchester
- ErnieBoo is doing a fantastic hob, posters are up in the area, all vets and DW notified, radio stations and local newspapers contacted. CCTV is being checked on the street Tilly was taken from, Leigh C & D Home know of Tilly, chip company notified and loads more.
There was a sighting of a man on a 600 bus with a similar dog, heading towards Wigan.
PLEASE all keep looking for Tilly, her owner is absolutely devastated. - 2012-11-06 11:33 Jackalee (Kathryn) - Area Co-ordinator - Greater Manchester
- Great article online about the theft, some lovely photos of Tilly too. I will upload but you may have to refresh or clear your history to be able to see them.

- I work in Atherton so will keep an eye open - I'll put a poster up in Tescos when I go at lunch time.

- CCTV is on the main street. May also be worth checking local shops and pubs in the area as these sometimes have cctv that covers outside the shops & pubs. Will post on Leigh Life website.
Would also check with Bolton Animal Shelter and others in case taken out of area.Last edited: 2012-11-05 22:59:41 by Paula Marie - 2012-11-05 22:36 patm

- What a sorry state of affairs, poor lady! I think you are right Adele, as many posters as possible and if I were you I would get the local papers involved too, go for the heart strings story - 80 year old lady has pet stolen etc - even try local radio if I were you? Hope she is found soon and back where she belongs - Good Luck xx

- I posted but am not the owner. The owner dosn't have internet access and is devastated. All local vets are aware and dog warden, Leigh cats & dogs ltd etc Police also involved. I think the key is going to be making Tilly too hot to handle. Postering will be taking place tomorrow on the main (shopping area) where Tilly was taken from, I just hope and pray she is still in the area as we will leave no stone unturned.
Tilly needs to be home with her owner.Be safe in the meantime sweetie x
