Hi the postcode for the dog my boyfriend found (which was not louie) is b70 (west bromwich) westmidlands.

I will keep my eyes open online for louie, I hope he returns safe soon xx
superdog
Hi i have had a look at the photo and im so sorry it is not louie, The one my boyfriend found had blue eyes and was young, i am just going to get the postcode of the area he was found for you and ill let you know. I have contacted the place that the dog warden took him to see if there has been any progres but as to yet have not heard back off them as i assume they are very busy, I am going to wait a little longer (tomorrow morning) and call them and hopefuly then i will have some good news and he has been reunited.

If not i will continue to ask about this dog and his progress while i then continue to search for his owner till he/she/they are found or the dog is rehomed, finger's crossed. Last edited: 2012-12-05 15:03:14 by superdog

Both myself and my wife have shared your poster on Facebook. As the author of 'Its All About Treo' and friends with the owner I will gladly give a reward to anyone who can find Louie and return him safely to his owners.
skippy
I'm sorry the Kearsley dog wasn't Louie - I guess the cheshire west husky may have stayed with finder - in which case the dog warden should be able to help.
joannedunning
Thanks for the comments, I rang about he husky in cheshire, going to ring back on Monday I dont think they where too sure what I was talking about, rang both those kennels and they hadnt had a husky handed in. I had a text from someone in Kearsley but unfortuately it was not Louie.
Been up Georges Lane again since 4am till late afternoon, then went back again this evening, gave lots of flyers out, hopefully someone will see him soon. Thank you for all the updates of dogs found.
skippy
On a different note - I have just seen a report on the 'dogs in salford' facebook page (posted a couple of hours ago) of a husky found in Kearsley Farnworth area last night. Finder is being asked to take a look at Louie's picture, but as far as I know, hasn't seen it yet.
skippy
cheshire west do scan all dogs, but always wise to double check. I think maybe the dogwarden won't be available until monday on the number below, but dogs are taken to either

Barra Kennels, Parkgate Road, Chester: 01244 880837
or out of hours at the weekend
Acorn Kennels, Whitchurch 01948 662931

This dog could be at either depending when he was picked up. I'm not sure about Barra, but I know that Acorn can be contacted 7 days a week. (8am til 6pm I think)
AnnieSparky
Would hope all dogs are scanned when picked up but you are right to ring or visit just incase its missed.....it has been known unfortunately.
Fingers crossed Louie is found soon x
joannedunning
I have had a look on the website cant tell properly the photo isnt very clear, I presume that they check if they are chipped and would ring if they are. I will ring them in the morning, thanks.

I notified the microchip company that night. I have been out again tonight handing more flyers out putting them in shops and pubs. Have given some to vets over in Horwich will target other vets tomorrow, had to return to work today, but I am off tomorrow so going out and about will drop flyers off at local police stations. The farmers on Matchmoor have my details if they see him again and said they will phone. Spoke to one of the farmers last night as we had to pay him some money for some of his livestock which they chased.
jdh-187
Have there been anymore sightings on Matchmoor Lane since where his brother was caught & reunited? Sent link to GMP Bolton, Bolton MRT & Bolton News. Not able to get to the area to poster until weekend sorry.
DogLostJackalee (Kathryn) - Area Co-ordinator - Greater Manchester
Thanks for posting joanne. Posters are very effective, get the sightings coming in. Try and get them in places like vets, pet shops, local police stations...people still walk off the streets and take them to the police thinking they still deal with strays. Huskys can travel, go as far a field as you can with the posters.

Have you notified the microchip company yet?

Sorry to see that LOUIE is missing.
  • If your dog is microchipped please let the microchip company know that your dog is missing and check that all details are up to date.
  • Owners targeted by a malicious hoaxer demanding money for the return of their dog should phone the police on 101 immediately and contact admin@doglost.co.uk
  • A photograph of your dog is essential for the website. If you have not already uploaded one, please do so by clicking on Update details. Alternatively you can email it to admin@doglost.co.uk quoting the dog's DogLost ID number: (44905)
  • Obtain a missing poster by clicking on View poster above. Posters are very important so start postering now!
  • You will need to be logged in to upload photos, edit your dog's details, or add comments. You can add comments by clicking on Click here to add a comment.
  • Contact dog wardens, vets and local rescue centres, and in Scotland, the Police. Give a detailed description with any distinguishing marks/scars or send them a copy of your DogLost poster. You can find vets in your area here.
  • If your dog has been stolen inform the police immediately and obtain a crime reference number (CRN). Send an email to stolen@doglost.co.uk.
  • If your dog is picked up and taken to rescue kennels, it can be legally re-homed after seven days. Visit rescue centres in person and do not rely on checking by phone alone. Other people may not recognise your dog by your description, so give them a DogLost poster.
  • Keep us updated by keeping your dog's page up to date and check for posts from helpers who may have suggestions and possible matches or sightings
  • DogLost is free and anyone asking for money to find or return your dog is not volunteering for us. If you are concerned about an approach you have received, please email admin@doglost.co.uk
