- Phoned the highway agency and they said they had nothing to report. He usually walks in a loop from beckford road around upton and back again, or along the stream and sometimes around the back to tescos express. I don't think he would still be out on his own by now as he is definately not an outdoorsy dog. I keep checking people walking dogs incase they think he's a stray and have decided to adopt him xLast edited: 2012-11-09 14:09:43 by KatJ

- Hi KatJ, where do you normally walk Heff? is there anywhere he visits regularly on foot, just trying to think of possible places to keep an eye on whilst I am out and about. It is worth contacting local taxi firms, they are driving around all hours, extra eyes are what we need at the moment, we need sightings x
- 2012-11-09 08:31 KatJ
- yep, called them yesterday and they took my details and said they would call me back, but they didn't?x
- 2012-11-08 22:45 Mollychops
- Hi Katj , did you speak to the motorway peeps as I sugggested
- 2012-11-08 14:15 Murvi
- Hi KatJ it would be quite difficult for Heff to get on the motorway, so I wouldn't worry too much about that.thinking of putting more posters up today over Upton

- Thanks for all you're help with posters. Still no word. I phoned the council on Tuesday morning..glad to see they are getting the word around...Have phoned Cheltenham dog shelter again and still nothing. We are worried he may have run into the m5 cuz of being frightened, but hopefully not!He should be in the citizen and glos echo today x

- today i put posters up along the brook, in abbeydale community centre, i gave a poster to postwoman who will put it up back in the depot, i stopped to chat to some council workers and turned out one of them actually works for dog warden services and lives near where heff went missing. he didnt know about him, if not done already can owner ring council 396396 and report dog missing (or remind them that dog is missing)? he took a poster as well. i spoke to all the dog walkers i met and some of them had already seen the posters so word is getting around. a few people asked how big dog was so maybe a full body pic would help? a local office did some extra photocopying for me but the suggestion below of printing a bulk order is a great idea. the printers by kings square in town are very reasonableLast edited: 2012-11-07 16:09:23 by Jack Russell

- Check if your insurers will cover the cost of printing some posters. We have just been through this trauma, so thoughts truly with you. We got the poster to local print/copy shop who printer it onto a bright yellow background. And the word Missing in red. It caught everyone's attention and showed up more than all other posters And notice boards etc. laminate them, tie them in posts. We did 500 ( 100 A4 and 400A5) they worked....cost about £60, the best £60 ever spent. Get the poster onto Facebook and twitter, also onto vets, local authorities website and Facebook. Put a poster on your front door with a note to the postman to take back to the sorting office, give poster to the bin men...... Its amazing how people want to help, but you need to tell them what you want them to do. Good luck and thinking of you. A good map showing all fields and bridle paths and farms helped us, I think it came from rural England, a kind farmer printed one off for us, ask your local farmers.. It helps to coordinate searching. Thinking of you x

She has called, Cheltenham Dogs home, Teckells, local councils and all the vets, Ive suggested the highways people, and she is next to the M5 . Im sending out advice sheets now. And I will ask for alerts to go out

- If your dog is microchipped please let the microchip company know that your dog is missing and check that all details are up to date.
- Owners targeted by a malicious hoaxer demanding money for the return of their dog should phone the police on 101 immediately and contact admin@doglost.co.uk
