Hopefully as sheba is chipped it should make it easier for the warden to check if it is her

Just contacted the Wardens, as yet they do not know enough details. The Warden is out to collect the dog. I have referred them to my lost posting with photo and reference, she said once verified they will be in touch to let me know if or not it is the same dog.

Thankyou for your great support so far.
AnnieSparky
Great.....have sent text to owner who is going to also ring the A/W to check. Fingers crossed xx

I have already emailed animal wardens to ask them to check if the lost Sheba and the found one are the same.

I apologies for not reaching your call, I have been busy with work and been unwell.

I have responded to your text message.

I could not find record of Sheba on the Dog Wardens site despite my report so I have posted her details on there too.

Sadly people I find walking the streets say they have not seen her, but surely someone has? I was told she was spotted a few days ago walking up Wardle road towards Wardle Village, but on searching the area I did not find her.
beardies in need
I cant get the owner on his number so left voice mail an text with advice. Hope found very soon.

I emailed Shebas doglost page last night to Rochdale Dog rescue so that they are aware in case someone finds her and takes her there.

I've had a reply from the Animal Wardens and the found dog is a male but the name on the collar said Tess. Probably not Sheba.

I would still recommend a visit to Manchester Dogs Home, we always recommend an owner go in person. MDH do a fantastic job but with upto 500 dogs in there at any time go see for yourself, you know your dog better than a description over the phone.

Thanks Angus.

This is the report for the found dog mentioned by pixie peeps on the Animal Warden website:

Found Dog
06 Nov 2012 Bearded Collie
Location: Manchester M40

Our Ref: 283789

I have sent an email to the Animal Wardens for further information.

Thanks for the help so far. Tomorrow I will be traveling to the Dogs home as a friend has said he will take me, I`m not holding my breath though as from what I am told the location where the dog was found and the day seem unlikely as the distance from my home to the found location is quite a distance and would take a while.

I have been following leads on possible sightings in the Smallbridge, Wardle and Hamer areas, so far without success.

I have also stopped people on the street and shown the picture, again sadly no luck.

I have posted a response regarding the found Collie, it would be very unusual for her to go so far, but I`m not going to dismiss potential findings. Thankyou Tobys Mum.

Check ou found dog ID 45001 - Found/sighted border collie......is this near to your area Simon S, you could call the number for more details x
Tobys Mum
Put up loads of posters Simon S to spread awareness if she has gone missing in a residential area somebody maybe keeping her safe. Maybe also try some letterbox drops in the areas of the sightings. Too far away to help myself but willing her home soon x
Simon S
I have notified the Dog wardens who have said they will spread the word throughout the borough. I do not know the details of the microchip company as we had it done several years ago by the RSPCA, however the details the chip holds are correct.

I have been told that she may have been spotted around Halifax road Hamer Rochdale and Smallbridge, sadly on investigating I have not found her and people I have stopped have not seen her.
