I am so very sorry and I couldn't bring myself to post before, as it is too upsetting to see this. Owners, please know it would have been very quick and God would have been right there to catch her. Sometimes our special ones get taken too soon for us, but it is because they are so special. They have already earnt their wings. God bless your sweet girl now safe in heaven. God bless your loving owners whose hearts are ripped apart. You are safe now and nothing can harm you again and you will always be with your loved ones wherever they go. One day you will be together again properly, and you will never ever part again. xxx

I have just had a text from Kay to say Tia's body has been found on the railway line. So sad, our sympathies to Kay. So many beloved companions have lost their lives this way.

Hi lab, I have been in touch with Kay, but couldn't go out and track as had flu. Should be well enough in a couple of days if Tia isn't home by then. Scent should be around for at least a week.
lab
Have walked through Hutcliffe Wood + surrounding roads in Beauchief but no sighting of Tia this morning.
lab
Just saw your post Kay. Almost where I live so will walk that area, also in the morning will walk Hutcliffe Wood (dark now)which it backs onto. Could be that Tia has got there from Millhouses Park or the Beauchief Hotel. She might also be going on the golf course off Abbey Lane.Last edited: 2012-11-11 18:43:35 by lab

Haven't seen Tia, or heard of anyone spotting Tia, in the woods today sadly. If she is still in this area 'though there may be food around for her - my dog came to me carrying a french loaf he'd sniffed out in the bushes. Re the phone call about a couple just finding Tia: If they don't have any other dog(s) why would they be carrying a lead around with them? Sounds very iffy to me. Is there anyone in this area who could help with tracking? Or is it too late for that? Easy to say, but try to keep positive Kay.
Kay
Thank you UaAndTheDog have only just at 6pm had a little bit of positive news that Tia has been seen around Folds Cresent by Abbey Lane, have been for a look around with no joy but know to keep an eye in more that area now.
UsAndTheDog
Hi, I live in the area & have been going on walks in Ecclesall Woods & Chancet Woods (with & without the dog) to keep an eye out for Tia. I don't have any info but I have seen a lot of your posters so hopefully the message is out there and Tia will be back home safely soon
chrissie
hi kay did you find out what time this sighting/chat took place and where on abbey lane it was?... it might be worth a walk round that area close to houses whistleing and calling her and listen to see if you get a result ie when my dog was stolen this is how i found the house of the scroats who had her...my dog heard me and barked like crazy to get to me ..i.m sure you will recognise her bark and she will recognise your whistle or voice ..best of luck ..i.m hoping i can get down to you soon xx
Kay
Still no luck today we have posted posters door to door around the majority of houses that surround Eccelsall woods and in the shops at Millhouses. I have had just one positive call although it was from very young sounding teenage boy, he said that he saw a couple walking a dog on a lead of Tia's description and was petting the dog and commented to the couple how attractive it was to which the couple replied that they had just found the dog. They headed off down Abbey Lane towards Millhouses. Don't understand, if this is true why we have not had a call as there are so many posters and leaflets gone out in that area.
lab
No sign of her when I was in the woods today. Asked other dog walkers - nothing either. On the positive side, saw a number of diff people looking at her posters so fingers crossed. x
Kay
We are not certain that the dog which slipped the collar in the report made by lab was Tia as it wasn't Tia's collar however the description lab gave of the dog was Tia to a T. So wether Tia has lost her collar and someone else tried to catch her by putting her on another collar we do not know. We are out seaching again tomorrow so please help if you can, thanks.
Kay
Thank you to all the people that has helped us so far with this search. I cannot beleive how kind everyone has been. We were out till dark on the 8th and there was a sighting of Tia crossing Abbydale Road South and going into the car park of Beaucheif Hotel where a lady tried to catch her but didnt succeed. Today we have been out since the crack of dawn till 8:30 pm we have displayed over 100 missing posters around the area and asked 100's of walkers to keep an eye out. All relevant authorities, Police, RSPCA, Dog Wardens, Vets, Petlog micro chip department, Sheffield Forum, Facebook have been contacted.

So hope that the lovely Tia is safely reunited tonight. Fingers crossed xxx

Tia has just been seen in Ecclesall woods. She ate some dog biscuits and was caught, but then slipped her collar and ran off again. She's still in the woods, last seen headed in direction of playing fields. Another lady is bringing more food to the spot she was in. Owner alerted.Last edited: 2012-11-09 16:37:13 by lab

I was with Tia's owners when she'd been missing in the woods for about an hour. I'm in the woods everyday so will keep on the alert for her and will tell other dog walkers. Let's hope such a striking dog will be found soon.

Admin can you please send out email alerts asap.
Tia went missing whilst on a walk and has not been seen since. Her owners stayed in the woods for several hours after she vanished and will be returning tomorrow. I have suggested that they do some scenting in the area she was last seen in.
Tia lives a car drive away from where she has gone missing so may not be able to find her way back home.
