Thank you all for keeping an eye out for Lily, unfortunately still no word of her - we still have our fingers crossed. we have had to return home to wales without her (heartbreaking) but will be back up in Blackpool on Sunday to renew the search and put up some more posters. tried radio wave but they don't do lost pet announcements - all the local vets know and should have posters too... still hoping.....Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

I agree with Fiona about the papers. Look and check out ads for small dog as well. They sometimes try to disguise what they're selling. Lily is so cute, someone must have taken her in. We are miles away down South, but are really willing you to find Lily. Lots of love Marian and Suzy xxLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Have only just seen this posting or I would have been out searching with you as I am in South Shore. Have you dropped posters in all the local vets yet? With her being so young, cute and an expensive breed its very likely that someone has taken her in, either for themselves or possibly to sell, hope you are checking the Gazette, not only lost & found, but also for sale. It may be worth a try to get an appeal on Radio Wave, with her being a baby and possibly injured, its quite likely they would give her a mention and either prick the concience of the people who have her, or alert neighbours to a new little dog in the street. If you can get some posters to me I will drop some at the Easterleigh Sanctuary and vets in my area if you havent done them yet. Keep your chin up, Fiona xLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Given that Lily might be injured, she might have crawled into someone's garden without their knowledge. I'd be inclined to do a leaflet drop near the Norbreck Castle. I couldn't find the park mentioned on a map, but I'd do round there too. I would suggested that you do your own copy, asking people to look in their gardens and outhouses.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Got everything crossed for you that this little lady is safe and well, and her injuries are not as bad as you fear. If the worst had happened - you would know by now, so she is out there waiting for you to find her. Very best wishes - will be thinking of you. Sara xxxLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

I tried to persuade the Dog Warden to let me look but he wouldn't let me as it was in a bad state. He was sure it wasn't a dachshund as the legs were too long. (I questioned him lots believe me) Can I say to everyone - Thanks SO MUCH for all your concern - it really means a lot to have all your support - the last few days have been horrific - no sleep and unable to eat, constant searching....you all know what its like. I pray it has a good outcome , and soonLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Email from the owner today................................Rachel have had an awful night, dog warden contacted me last night to say body had been found on beach so spent the night crying - only for them to scan it this morning and find it wasn't Lily - Thank God for microchips! So the hunt is still on - I am very concerned now as I saw her being hit by a car before she ran off and she hasn't been brought into any local vets despite radio/newspaper ads etc. oh well, will keep fingers crossed thanks again Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18
