I just haven't been able to post before, as it hurts so much to see this lovely boy has also gone to heaven by a train. Owners, please know it would have been so quick and God was there to catch him. Sometimes our special ones get taken too soon for us, but it is because they are so special. They have already earnt their wings. God bless you sweet Alfie and your loving owners. You are safe now boy, nothing can harm you again and you will always be with your loved ones wherever they go. One day you will be together again properly, and you will never ever part again. xxx

Ive just recieved the devastating news that dear Alfie didnt make it home...he was found on the lines..Run Free at Rainbow Bridge Gorgeous boy..another lost to them wretched Railway lines taken to young...My thoughts are with Alfies Family at this very sad time.Xxxx

Just this side of heaven is a place called Rainbow Bridge.

When an animal dies that has been especially close to someone here, that pet goes to Rainbow Bridge.
There are meadows and hills for all of our special friends so they can run and play together.
There is plenty of food, water and sunshine, and our friends are warm and comfortable.

All the animals who had been ill and old are restored to health and vigor; those who were hurt or maimed are made whole and strong again, just as we remember them in our dreams of days and times gone by.
The animals are happy and content, except for one small thing; they each miss someone very special to them, who had to be left behind.

They all run and play together, but the day comes when one suddenly stops and looks into the distance. His bright eyes are intent; His eager body quivers. Suddenly he begins to run from the group, flying over the green grass, his legs carrying him faster and faster.

You have been spotted, and when you and your special friend finally meet, you cling together in joyous reunion, never to be parted again. The happy kisses rain upon your face; your hands again caress the beloved head, and you look once more into the trusting eyes of your pet, so long gone from your life but never absent from your heart.

Then you cross Rainbow Bridge together....

I know its a very long shot but on Animal Wardens website a black and white border collie has been found in Altrincham. As you have had no sightings someone may have picked him up

We have a friendly dog trap if you need to borrow, providing you get regular sightings. We really know how you feel as over the past month two of our ex foster dogs ran off. But we caught them with help. See Pongo on dogs reunighted. Ring 07843 263441 if you want support

Have posted this on the Facebook page of a friend who lives near Bicester. Have you given details to the guardroom at St George's Barracks? Lots of their staff live in the area or travel around locally. I'm not in the area unfortunately so can't help directly.

Alfies Family have been advised via a phone call and it sounds like they are doing all the right things and more....ill get an advice email sent over covering the things we spoke about with a few more ideas..hope to see Alfie home safe and sound really soon.
