Riley's owner wants to thank DogLost and all the helpers for their kindness and support. They are so happy to have Riley home! He's getting lots love and kisses! Mathers22, I believe finder can look after the dog now without him going to the pound, until owners are found, but the dog warden needs to be notified. Don't quote me literally, but I think the law got changed maybe a year ago, if that. And yes, I have kept dogs at home instead of the pound - back in the days of the police pounds (and probably before microchips! :-) ).

You see I have to admit that would be me. I couldn't send a dog to the Pound but I would notify all concerned and keep the dog with me until the owner came forward and if the owner didn't come forward then hopefully I could rehome the dog or depending on my circumstances keep myself xx

People just "keep" dogs they've found?? How would they feel if it was their dog someone else found and kept?? Still, happily this one has a happy ending! xxx

Someone contacted owner to say they had her dog and were going to keep him but he didn't get on with his other dog. Maybe they found out he was chipped? Welcome home sweet Riley! x
