- Catchat website has a great action plan of things you can or should do. Many of these will be the same as for finding a lost dog, - but link is here if there is anything you haven't thought of yet - http://www.catchat.org/lost.html
They also have a list of local rescues all of who might be contacted if a cat is found - http://www.catchat.org/adoption/lincs.html
I also assume you have contacted all your local vets - make sure they all get her details. Cats tend to travel a little less than dogs so lots of fliers through local doors can also be really effective. Encourage neighbours to check garages and sheds to make sure she hasn't got herself shut in somewhere. Keep an eye on windowsills of any empty houses or houses where neighbours may be on holiday.
I work with a cat charity close to where I live (not close to you I'm afraid or else I'd help on the ground) and almost without exception it is the posters and fliers that bring lost cats home. It is also great that Tigger is chipped. Just last week the charity I help out with reunited a cat via his chip. He had been missing for 14 months and was found in the same road he went missing from despite his owners extensive efforts to find him at the time he went missing.
In Tiggers case - scenting (by putting worn clothing or bedding out for her) might be effective if she is unfamiliar with the area and needs a bit of help finding her way back to where she was staying? Good luck with your hunt - hopefully she won't have gone too far.x - 2012-11-21 21:12 Unknown
- Sorry to see Tigger is missing. She is the image of my eldest cat; they should be twins. My cat is also timid. Have you tried the obvious of tapping her dish or leaving her favourite food out? Most cats like tuna, usually the "Tinned human variety" Spayed females dont normally stray too far, it may be that someone has taken her in, thinking Tigger is a stray. Paws and fingers xd for a positive result. Good luckx
