- When I read this yesterday I was in tears thinking this little one had died with no-one knowing what she was called. Thank you janiejewel and flaggbag for giving her a name, she deserved it. I hope too that her owners can be traced so they can have closure.

- Thanks everyone for your comments and great she now has a name, I was going to ask the RSPCA what they had named her as they do give dogs in the kennels names.
I've asked if they can keep her a bit longer to allow us to try and find her owner. Helper Gill and her partner who would of given her a great home have been helping and walked around the area with their own two Dach's to see if they could find an owner. Vets in the area will be contacted tomorrow to see if they have any registered etc. Would be great if we could find her family so they can have closure. She did have a good coat and looked as if she was looked after. xxx - 2012-11-25 22:49 AnnieSparky

- Me again! Thanks Doglost for the beautiful picture of this tragic dog at Rainbow Bridge. Also could we give this poor dog a name? I did think of "Trudie" but if anyone can think of a more suitable name, that would be lovely. THANK YOU.

- Oh how sad. I am so sorry this girl didn`t make it, but at lease she had some treatment, care, and cuddles at the end. She may have been abandoned or have an owner who has been looking for her, who knows! Another reason why I think compulsory microchipping, and a date base for all dogs should come into force. We cant be sure I know but if this dog HAS been ababdoned by her owner then shame on you. Night, night sweet girl, sleep tight, and play with all the other "Rainbow babies" at the bridge. Your wings are well deserved. RIP+ Sweetheart Now you are healthy, and happy in God`s care. God Blessx A~~~Candle~~~is burning for you sweet girlk.as I type this. Run free.

Rainbow Bridge photo now done for her.
Run free at the Bridge and sweet dreams little one. xxx
Spoken to Halewood RSPCA this morning again who alerted us to this found Dach.
It is with the deepest regret to report that sadly she passed away. When she was handed into the kennels she was very dehydrated and taken to a local vet and put on a drip. The vet and RSPCA did a brilliant job trying to save her and everyone is totally gutted. On behalf of everyone we cannot thank you enough.
Owners of STOLEN Queenie and Roxie (ID 42315) from Yorkshire did go to the RSPCA this morning and have confirmed she was not one of theirs. Well done to them for checking her out we hope one day it will be one of your girls.
Thank you to everyone who has helped and tried to find the found Dach's owners. Especially to Gill Allward who would of given her a brilliant home if had the chance. Also thanks to Gill for contacting the RSPCA this morning I know the news has deeply upset you. x

Rainbow Bridge
Just this side of heaven is a place called Rainbow Bridge.
When an animal dies that has been especially close to someone here, that pet goes to Rainbow Bridge.
There are meadows and hills for all of our special friends so they can run and play together.
There is plenty of food, water and sunshine, and our friends are warm and comfortable.
All the animals who had been ill and old are restored to health and vigor; those who were hurt or maimed are made whole and strong again, just as we remember them in our dreams of days and times gone by.
The animals are happy and content, except for one small thing; they each miss someone very special to them, who had to be left behind.
They all run and play together, but the day comes when one suddenly stops and looks into the distance. His bright eyes are intent; His eager body quivers. Suddenly he begins to run from the group, flying over the green grass, his legs carrying him faster and faster.
You have been spotted, and when you and your special friend finally meet, you cling together in joyous reunion, never to be parted again. The happy kisses rain upon your face; your hands again caress the beloved head, and you look once more into the trusting eyes of your pet, so long gone from your life but never absent from your heart.
Then you cross Rainbow Bridge together....
