- Could this be Milly four years on - found tonight in East Anglia, very old and stiff? Something about the kink in the ear, and the expression esp in pic two (click on arrow) is a bit similar

- Went to Swithland woods yesterday and left a poster up. Have also posted into Watermead Country Park FB page. Watermead is badly flooded at the moment but hopefully that means that other dog owners like me will be forced out a bit to walk and will cover a greater area. Also, I believe the new Dogs Trust centre in Wymeswold and the Redgate Animal Sanctuary are the nearest rehoming centres to the possible sighting. I mention them because I'd hate to assume that you know about them.

- Have spoken with Steve the owner. Milly was let out into the yard with the other dogs but didn't return with them. It was foggy at the time and she may have got into the field at the back and got disorientated although she is not normally the type the wander.
She is wearing a red collar.
I discussed the possible sighting by Lunatic with him and given general advice.
I am emailing advice sheets and contact numbers. Stay safe until you are found Milly. - 2012-11-26 06:35 Lunatic
- As I was driving back from hydro pool at about 12.45 yesterday-sun 25th nov I saw a dog similar to that one (although my head labelled it a GR rather than a lab, it was wet and dirty and that yellow colour, couldn't see collar colour). It was being firmly held by 2 teenage boys by the collar, as if it had been caught by them and they were grateful to have caught it. They were heading towards a women (smartly dressed-jeans, ponytail, tweedy sort of jacket, chestnut hair, could've been mother of boys)who had pulled up in a 4 x 4 vehicle (browny rav4 sort) and was stood by it waiting for them to reach her. I noticed the situation because it was a strange place for someone to pull over, a field gateway I think and then the dog had no lead and looked bedraggled and the boys were looking pleased and excited and tired (they weren't dressed for the outdoors, tshirts and jeans I think. My first thought was they had lost their dog and Mum had had to drive around to them to pick them up once they'd found it. 'Mum' didn't look overly worried or grateful or concerned though. There was no path along the road, they were walking along grass verge. It did look like they'd stopped to catch a loose dog. I was trying to figure out if maybe the dog had escaped their car.
I can't recall the exact place but think it was along the a50 between Markfield and the a46 roundabout so not far from Thurcaston really. There was housing around and the roads were dual carriageway so it could have been as I was passing through Groby. The vehicle would've been on the 'towards Markfield' side, I would've been going towards the a46. - 2012-11-26 05:59
