Just this side of heaven is a place called Rainbow Bridge.
When an animal dies that has been especially close to someone here, that pet goes to Rainbow Bridge. There are meadows and hills for all of our special friends so they can run and play together. There is plenty of food, water and sunshine, and our friends are warm and comfortable.

All the animals who had been ill and old are restored to health and vigor. Those who were hurt or maimed are made whole and strong again, just as we remember them in our dreams of days and times gone by. The animals are happy and content, except for one small thing; they each miss someone very special to them, who had to be left behind.
They all run and play together, but the day comes when one suddenly stops and looks into the distance. His bright eyes are intent. His eager body quivers. Suddenly he begins to run from the group, flying over the green grass, his legs carrying him faster and faster.

You have been spotted, and when you and your special friend finally meet, you cling together in joyous reunion, never to be parted again. The happy kisses rain upon your face; your hands again caress the beloved head, and you look once more into the trusting eyes of your pet, so long gone from your life but never absent from your heart.

Then you cross Rainbow Bridge together....

Kez. No, you have not lost your boy forever, as one day you will be reunited with Oscar at the bridge; also he will always be with you in spirit. When an animal dies in tragic circumstances they sometimes leave a sign to give comfort. (Hope you get one) (Sometime after my grandmother died I actually saw her in spirit, but that`s another story). Night, night sweet Oscar, sleep tight, and play in the warm sunshine with the other "Rainbow babies". Please Oscar look down upon your family who really, really need your strength at this time. Been out postering and leaflet dropping area he was last seen with friends tonight. No sightings as yet, lots of people saw the Dog Welfare van looking round the area, No word from any kennels or vets or other area dog wardens, Thank you Haydock Library for putting his poster in a prominent place. Some horrible people are removing the posters as soon as they are placed. Please keep looking for Oscar, my partner and our other dog are both in a state and miss him terribly.

Oscar has been reported as missing to all the local vets and the local police as well as the kennels. We are putting up posters where he was last seen this evening and have driven and walked round the area for over 3 hours. We are desperate for news of him.I know we will not sleep much tonight.
