Check out this link to a pound dog, albeit in Ireland but you never know how far they can get with a helping hand. Difficult to tell from a photo :-)

Looks similar to dog found - 52751?
ClaireC
Good luck x
Ian
Thats looking really positive and the hound looks in good fettle!
Gill
I have just uploaded a photo of the sighted hound- 51232
Gill
The hound is still being seen on a daily basis but evading being caught at the moment. Mel has done a good job of enticing the hound into her garden and she is visiting for food. Ray has brought another trap this weekend so hopefully might be one step closer to catching her
ClaireC
Makes you wonder if the stray has joined the hounds and they are unaware of an extra dog!
Ian
I spoke to Christine yesterday and she told me the hunt local to the sighting had taken some hounds and flushed through the cover but there was no sign of the stray. She also said she had been told the girls who had sighted her had not seen her lately. Would be good to get an update from Gina!

Any news on the sighted one?Last edited: 2013-04-26 14:14:58 by ClaireC

Fingers crossed she can be caught soon xx
Gill
A trap was set Monday Ian (gamekeepers). Difficult isn't it? The hound needs to be hungry enough to take the bait but no-one wants it to go hungry or to move on looking for other food. Lets see what the hound contact who is coming tonight thinks but we definately think it looks like one of your missing hounds.
Ian
I dont want to intefere with whats going on on the ground up there Gill but would it not be a good idea to put a little feed down on a regular basis until a trap can be set?
ClaireC
Good luck x
Gill
We could see tonight both the hounds ears are brown. The rest of its body seems all white. Still can't get anywhere near to clearly sex it Im afraid.
Ian
Christine tells me she has been talking to the girl who has been observing the hound and she believes on initial information this could be a credible match. She is organising some local expertise to progress things from now on.
Ian
The wheels are in motion to try and get enough info to see if this is a likely match

Young adult female in found section (sighted only) but white & tan

Hi - there was a white fox hound at Croft Kennels near Coity Bridgend, South Wales when I last went up there a few weeks ago. Was only dropping something off but noticed him or her as unusual to see them. Have no idea of sex or age but may be worth eliminating him or her from search?http://www.croftrescuekennels.net/

I've been screaming out on a horse site for days for them to register on Doglost for help- now so MUCH precious time has been lost. Worryingly, the other information (not mentioned here) - is that there was a small black dog with them at the time.

Sorry to see that BOBBIN AND BORNEO is missing.
  • If your dog is microchipped please let the microchip company know that your dog is missing and check that all details are up to date.
  • Owners targeted by a malicious hoaxer demanding money for the return of their dog should phone the police on 101 immediately and contact admin@doglost.co.uk
  • A photograph of your dog is essential for the website. If you have not already uploaded one, please do so by clicking on Update details. Alternatively you can email it to admin@doglost.co.uk quoting the dog's DogLost ID number: (45792)

  • If your dog is picked up and taken to rescue kennels, it can be legally re-homed after seven days. Visit rescue centres in person and do not rely on checking by phone alone. Other people may not recognise your dog by your description, so give them a DogLost poster.
