I can now update fully on Sooty as the Police have said they can't/won't take any further action.

The family had put a missing ad on Preloved, someone recognised Sooty straight away and gave the owners a call to say where they thought Sooty was now living.

A young girl had found Sooty and kept him. They were still calling him Sooty which completely gave it away and when the police visited she gave them Sooty's ID tag that he had been wearing when he was stolen, the contact number was up to date.

If it hadn't been for the family placing the ad on Preloved and the right person seeing it Sooty would still be living with the girl that found him but thought she would keep him. MANY many thanks to the person who contacted Dawn and Paul to let them know where Sooty was, you are a STAR!!!

I believe Sooty has been booked in for a lovely pampering session and he will be back to his former glory very soon xx

In all the excitement I misunderstood how Sooty was reunited. His owners had put a missing ad on Preloved and someone spotted it, contacted the owners to let them know their suspicions that someone had Sooty locally. The police then attended and confirmed it was Sooty via his microchip. Again many thanks to the person who contacted the family and to GMP, just a fantastic result :)

Just had the best news...Sooty IS HOME!!!!

The family received a call to say that they had seen a very similar dog on Preloved. The police were contacted and thank goodness they took it seriously, went round, had him scanned and he is now safely back home.

Sooty's family have never given up, they have checked out every bichon found and I am so glad all their hard work paid off.

WELCOME HOME SOOTY, stay safe now little man and massive hugs from all at DogLost....you can breathe now Dawn ;) xx
