Night God Bless Daisy. Bloody fishermen, they sit on the towpath here in Cropredy with all their paraphernalia, I can't get passed with my dog and they get very annoyed when I ask them to move. Excuse me but I am trying to get home! Pity you can't get Daisy and bring her home. xx
HollyP
Hi Lizzy. Thanks. We have made a donation to Dog Lost in Daisy's honour. Good luck with all that you do. Holly & Steve x

I am so sorry for your loss if it is Daisy. Shame on the fisherman if you see him again just give him a gentle push into the canal xx
HollyP
Dear all. I received some information from a chap who had got stuck in a traffic jam on the M1 and he saw a dead black labrador with a red collar in the central reservation. He said the dog looked like it had been there a while. It was in exactly the same area as where Daisy went missing from. I contacted the Highways Agency and whilst they were very helpful they have not managed to locate the dog. It is possible that the dog has been disposed of which is why they can't find it. Either way, I am of the view that this was probably Daisy..right location, right dog, right collar and also explains why there were no sightings of her. We would have liked to have said a proper goodbye but at least we know what happened to her. Thank you all so much for your help and support - I can't tell you how much we appreciate it. Good luck with reuniting future lost dogs! Kind regards, Holly (& Steve) xx

A female black labrador is currently in Sangreat Kennels in Brigg, Lincs. I have no photo at present. I had hoped it was Margeret, but her owner has been to the kennels and sadly it's not her. The dog wandered into a shop in Kirton, Lincs. No collar though but might be worth checking for Daisy.

Hi Liz. Many thanks for the comments etc. I do hope someone finds the dog and can catch it...even if its not Daisy. Im Holly Phillips. Daisy is my friend Steve's dog - he has a mobile phone (number is above) but no access to facebook. If anyone has any updates, please keep adding here if that's easier. Steve lives on a narrow boat and doesn't have any transport but is going to try and find someone with a car to go and look himself. We do so hope that this is Daisy - we had almost given up hope of finding her. Thanks so much ;-) x

Thanks everyone. The black female found with male black lab wasn't Daisy - thanks for the tip off though. Jollyloluk - thanks for that - I've had a look but the lab looks to big for Daisy - she is quite a small lab. Called round all the kennels again but no luck yet xLast edited: 2012-12-16 23:15:53 by HollyP

Chronicle and Echo, probably free to put a lost dog in. If someone has taken her in and doesn't know what to do about it, they may look there.
Liz Cox
You're welcome. Also it might be worth looking on for sale sites- Preloved, Gumtree. I have been looking on them for Zak the husky, am going to have a look now so will keep an eye out for Daisay too> I hope she is home safe soon.
HollyP
Hi Liz. Thanks for that - yes good idea. We will try them too. Interestingly, Steve called rugby pawprints about the two labradors found but was told they are chocolate. Having seen the photos theyve posted on here, they do seem to be black although one of them is male. Steve is going to call them again tomorrow in case the first person was mistaken I've also posted Daisy's photo on their facebook page and asked too !
Liz Cox
Hi, are you phoning the kennels every day? Not only Forest Lodge, but also Dunsmore kennels on 02476 542566. They now take dogs from our area. Good luck and thinking of you and Daisy.
HollyP
Thanks Sue and everyone. I've put Daisy on facebook in various groups I could find. Steve (Daisy's owner) has also spoken to lots of people on the cut. I will check out Towpath talk online. Thanks very much for all your help. Holly

Hi Holly, posted round a lot of facebook groups yesterday, inc sales/pets groups, local rescues, local papers and the Northants police page. Might be worth ringing Radio Northampton if you haven't already? The main post has also then been shared by 35 people as well since yesterday. Also on twitter x

Owner has contacted DW. I have advised Forest Lodge and have advised him to poster and to try local radio. Apparently she was seen about 3 miles away. Owner is concerned as there are a lot of pheasants in the area. I have advised him to contact local game keepers and farmers. He has also tried local rescues.
