Found: Dark Colour Lurcher Unknown In South East (CT7)

A lady posted on the fb thread that this dog was seen Thursday near vincent stables,nr manston , they tried to catch but very scared/nervous and ran off.

rspca centre woodchurch birchington are aware and have tried to feed and follow this dog ! they have my number so we can try and calculate a plan however no sightings since monday night / tuesday ! still no contact from the local dog warden am very dissapointed :(

emma dont recall white tips to the ears but the neighbouring farm has been putting food out and has cctv so i will ask them to have a look

My lurcher has gone missing, his name is sweep. He is on the lost dog page. I spoke to someone and they know a dog who went missing in Glos and was found in Essex. This description does match him to a certain extent. He is grey, wiery haired. He has a brown greyhound collar on, he is micro chipped and has white tips on his ears. If you could try and take a photo of this dog that would be great. It may not be him but as this person told me about the dog that went missing in Glos and found in Essex there is a slight chance it could be possible. Thanks Emma

No sorry as no ne can get close enough to decide.
I did also send an email as there is a holiday camp very close and wondered if could have been someone on holiday ? Even if camp is closed i would hope they might have deatils of any reported to them??

lets hope that a feeding pattern can be established then hopefully put food in a trap and catch him/her.!

It always take a lot of patience and food to regain the dogs trust of humans again sadly. My old Lurcher was exactly the same but came around in the end. Good luck

was fed last night at woodchurch farm as was hanging around alot ! hopefully will return tonight as more food is going to be left out ! definately a rough coated lurcher ! will try and feed for a few days as cannot get near it ! its there dogs as no reports so far with any one

I live near this area and its literally surrounded by fields. I called the dog warden this morning just to make sure they are aware of this dog and was told that yes they were and police and that several sightings had been reported and several people had tried to catch but were not able to. There is a f/b page called ' Missing dogs and strays in thanet and sighting is on there.

IF ANY HELPERS are close to this area i will send on mobile of finder to assist. Dog seems very unsure so do not want many people around it.
Have advised leaving food to see if can keep dog in one place also to report to dog warden.

Very timid very skinny seen in the fields near my house very rural location of manston birchington kent
roughcoated. Dark colour had a brown collar on its around this area but its very rural ! 4 houses thats it and a farm ! ! Cant even get near it with my own dogs !

Please ensure that you notify your local Dog Warden and the local Police Station - in Scotland you MUST inform your local Police Station and if possible contact the Dog Warden also.
The found dog may have a Microchip or a Tattoo - please have the dog scanned and checked for a tattoo at a vet's so that owners may be contacted as soon as possible.
