RainbowBridge.com
Just this side of heaven is a place called Rainbow Bridge.
When an animal dies that has been especially close to someone here, that pet goes to Rainbow Bridge. There are meadows and hills for all of our special friends so they can run and play together. There is plenty of food, water and sunshine, and our friends are warm and comfortable.
All the animals who had been ill and old are restored to health and vigor. Those who were hurt or maimed are made whole and strong again, just as we remember them in our dreams of days and times gone by. The animals are happy and content, except for one small thing; they each miss someone very special to them, who had to be left behind.
They all run and play together, but the day comes when one suddenly stops and looks into the distance. His bright eyes are intent. His eager body quivers. Suddenly he begins to run from the group, flying over the green grass, his legs carrying him faster and faster.
You have been spotted, and when you and your special friend finally meet, you cling together in joyous reunion, never to be parted again. The happy kisses rain upon your face; your hands again caress the beloved head, and you look once more into the trusting eyes of your pet, so long gone from your life but never absent from your heart.
Then you cross Rainbow Bridge together....

- Couldn`t agree more. Strange world when you think you have to have 2/3 home checks to adopt an animal (As I have) which is only right, but anyone even these sub humans can have a baby, come what may.
- 2013-01-24 13:13 Freetherich
- One of the things was pregnant, god help us !
These creatures should not be allowed to breed, the sooner their type die out the better. - 2013-01-23 20:24 Unknown
- Yes. Good idea mathers. Hope it does the trick.
- 2013-01-23 12:27 ClaireC
- Good idea Mathers lots of positive thinking.

- I have written to The Mirror Newspaper with a link to this page asking for help and publicity and if they are willing to do so to get in touch with dlostpr@gmail.com. Don't know if anything will come of it but worth a try. Usually The Mirror have been very kind to me with letters etc. but not had much luck lately but worth a try xx

- Hi, are there people in Littlehampton area that would be willing to put posters up? Not knowing the area at all but guess that the hospital would be quite a good one to poster! or indeed around surgeries. She will have to take the baby there at times! Do let Doglost Admin know on this site that you are able to poster thank you.Last edited: 2013-01-23 10:11:33 by ClaireC

- Just checking for any news on the scumbags. I did find the cctv moving images, but could not bring myself to watch it. debbie. I agree with you looks as though Social services should be involved regarding the baby just in case. They dont use the stocks any more do they? Think it would be more tham tomatoes some of us would like to throw. Am sure Hero is now back tro his old self, and having lots of fun at the bridge. Lots of love Hero.xxx

- Me again Hi Hero, Everyone will be "Fighting your corner" for you, to get justice. Sending you lots of cuddles. God Blessx
- 2013-01-22 21:06 Unknown
- I`m still fuming too. Dont think they deserve to be called people, just low life scum. Could call them something else, but it wouldn`t be printable. mathers22 Pleased you are putting this on fb. Someone somewhere must know who these evil monsters are, and hopefully becauise of the media they are "Quaking in their boots" At least Hero had some love, and attention at the end, so there is some comfort in that. As mathers22 said the picture is quite clear so hopefully the rspca will be "On their case" soon. I just hope they dont have any more pets, and are stopped from owning any more in the future. Keep us posted

- I've looked all over the internet for a clip, but can't find one. It was definitely on Sunday 20th and I saw it twice during the day. I posted on here just after seeing it for the second time. Maybe it will be in the local newspaper this week?

- 2013-01-22 19:10 Barney 'n' Ozzie's mum
- Hi Shereen. If I remember rightly it was on BBC South's news channel on Sunday (sorry to be a bit vague, but we've just moved to the area, so it's not our usual news channel) x
- 2013-01-22 18:30 ClaireC
- Still totally incensed by this poor dog's owners cruelty but are there some people who will put up this posters in the Littlehampton area for the RSPCA in order for them to gain a conviction? If ever there is a reward to catch the low life's then it could be donated to Doglost. Somebody will know the woman who is/was pregnant and know that they once had a Rottie I'm sure and may have been told that the dog had gone to live somewhere else because of the baby arriving. Sadly, I do not live anywhere near the Littlehampton area otherwise I would do this myself. Thank you to anyone who can help by postering.

- Tears here for Hero - he didn't deserve any of this. I hope those scumbags are found and severely punished for what they did, and not just a 'slap on the wrist' either!
RIP Hero, no-one can hurt you now. Sleep safe in God's arms sweetheart xxLast edited: 2013-01-22 16:23:12 by Tigermouse - 2013-01-22 16:01 Angel

- 2013-01-22 15:39 fionap58
- From the footage it looks like she took the dogs lead with her. Obviously it was more valuable to her than poor Hero. At least he spent his last hours warm and fed. Please let them be caught, prosecuted and shamed.
- 2013-01-22 15:27 mathers22
- Thanks dewilliams42 I did get them mixed up. Really hope these 2 get their cum uppance xx RIP HERO xx

- We'll get this going viral on facebook the evil scum got away with starving Prince - can't let it happen again xx
- 2013-01-22 14:40 Unknown
- I taken the best stills I can from this.
Woman 1: Heavily pregnant wearing a knee-length shiney hooded coat. No tights or leggings.
Woman 2: Shorter and stockier, wearing a military-style coat with double row of large contrasting buttons. - 2013-01-22 14:33 ClaireC
- If I recall wasn't one of these women pregnant can anyone remember. I can't seem to be able to view link! Wonder if the RSPCA can trace her through perhaps local hosp Maternity Unit or GP surgery. She might be imminent at giving birth!Last edited: 2013-01-22 15:01:55 by ClaireC

- Hope these two evil lowlife scum are caught, and punished, and not just a "slap on the wrist" i feel like putting them in a cell where it`s freezing cold, without food until they were ravenous; then I wouldn`t give them any. See how they like it. If it was made compulsory for every dog to be microchipped, as in Belfast, the owners (Scum in this case) could be found. Night, night Hero, sleep tight, and play with Ozzie, and co at the bridge now back to yopur old self. PS Hope if the scum responsible are found they are never allowed to own another animal. Hope they never find peace; hope you both rot in hell. God Bless Hero. A~~~Candle~~~burns for you sweetheart. Run free RIP+
- 2013-01-22 14:04 Unknown
- So sad. I really hope these 2 are found and pay the penalty for what they have done.
- 2013-01-22 14:02 4paws
- Poor poor little boy, lets hope what goes round comes round...RIP xx
- 2013-01-22 13:54 ClaireC
- Oh just so so sad especially where there is no need to just simply dump a dog. I sincerely hope that these women are tracked down and fed through the Court to receive their just rewards. Good luck RSPC on finding them. RIP Hero your pain is now over.
- 2013-01-22 13:49 Unknown
- I'm sorry to have to report that Hero couldn't fight off the effects of the starvation. He collapsed and was PTS. The RSPCA have issued further appeals to identify the two women who dumped him. We'll get a still from the cctv footage and upload it.
- 2013-01-21 12:06 Unknown
- Press officer has asked the relevant inspector to get back to her. We can't confirm until then. Sorry.
- 2013-01-20 19:46 Unknown
- Very sad news. We'll see if we can get confirmation from the RSPCA's press office before we change the page.
- 2013-01-20 19:29 Barney 'n' Ozzie's mum
- News report on TV today that Hero has had to be put to sleep. Such a shame. I hope those responsible for his mistreatment get their come-uppences a hundred times over. RIP darling Hero. My rottie boy Ozzie will be waiting to play with you at the bridge xx

- poor baby glad someone found him when they did! x
- 2012-12-12 11:21 lesleyjane
- Poor boy, glad he is warm and safe now. Even if owner was having financial problems there is no excuse for this. Hope they are tracked down.
- 2012-12-12 11:09 Ravenette - Area Co-ordinator - West Sussex
- Heartbreaking, poor Hero, if he hadn't been heard barking thing's could have been much worse. I hope that this is being covered by the local papers - especially the Argus as this is a daily paper, even if they are not recognised somebody may realise that someone doesn't have their Rottie anymore and come forward. Good luck Hero, hope you soon find the loving forever home you so much deserve xxx
- 2012-12-11 21:33 Tigermouse
- This is unbelievably appalling and cruel, poor Hero. To let him get in that condition in the first place is bad enough but to abandon him in freezing cold weather is just despicable - I hope they are caught and prosecuted and also banned from keeping pets in the future. What I really think about these low-lifes is unprintable!!
Hopefully now Hero is safe in kennels he'll recover and find a new forever home with a loving family - good luck Hero, you didn't deserve to be treated like this xx - 2012-12-11 21:24 Millypod (Chris) - Administrative Volunteer
- Utter Scum bags hope someone recognises them. Hero is now safe no thanks to them.Hope you find a lovely family little one.x

- Absolutely appalling poor little man - I hope those people responsible are caught and prosecuted I would like to leave them outside with no coat on and see how they feel.
- 2012-12-11 18:27 ClaireC
- Poor boy. Hope the women are caught and prosecuted by the RSPCA for their callous actions. So glad that Hero is safe in kennels and now being properly looked after. Hope he finds his forever home where he will be treated with kindness and love. xxLast edited: 2012-12-11 18:28:14 by ClaireC
