I'm so pleased Finn has been found. He looks just like my lab Toby and made me so sad to think of him lost!

Finn was found in Snodland today and was taken to Viking Oak Kennels, he is safe at home. Thank You everyone for their help, JB and Tiga have been fantastic. Also a huge thank you the anonymous man who spent 2 hours running around a field trying to catch him, we really appreciate this who ever you are
anna_white
to Pleasebepolite at the RSPCA Leybourne, I've tried to call through to you be only got the automated voice recording, we have no sighting of Finn for 24 hrs. I've called all the local and surrounding area vets and kennels and no one has seen him, have you heard or seen anything at the RSPCA?
anna_white
Went out last night but got no sighting of him, checked again this morning around birling church where we left him some food and his bed but there was no sign he turned up there last night. Will call around some kennels again to see if he has been picked up
Tiga
Sadly no more news but Finn is surely in the Birling village, the last sighting he was reported to have been possibly limping. Tiga picked up scent on and off. Will go out again tonight to see if we can find where he is sleeping. Local dog warden has also been out with the owners. Come on Finn we are near you.
DogLostOwl
Dog warden is out helping them. Tiga has a strong scent to follow but they are pausing as Finn may be heading towards a shoot, so someone is going ahead to warn the shoot.

Another local sighting just been called in, JB just called me. She and Tiga are there now and she is handling Tiga in tandem with Finn's companion Alfie who is also tracking him with great determination.

There has been a couple of sightings, in the field behind Birling church about 20mins ago. But also Vikings Oak Kennels said they picked up a dog last night fitting Finns description, but that was in Tonbridge Wells so may be a bit far, but we are checking both these out. Hopefully find him soon. Thank You everyone for your help

Any update on Finn this morning?
pleasebepolite!
RSPCA Leybourne here, we are aware and have printed a poster, obviously if there is a sighting or the dog is brought here we will contact the owner.
For previous poster who commented that we "do not notify if a tag has come off". We scan stray dogs for microchips and contact the relevant agencies if we find a chip. Dogs without a chip or ID on a collar are passed to the dog warden as we are not licenced to keep strays here.
Fingers crossed that Finn is found soon.
Tiga
Have been out tracking with Tiga and we started at Birling where the lady who saw Finn tried to catch him and yes Tiga picked up scent but it was difficult in the frost but I think Finn could be in a back garden sheltering near the Neville Bull pub. A lot of the gardens had side gates and then gardens which back onto fields.
It was a great shame that I did not pick up the e-mail alert sooner because I had actually walked the route with Tiga past the owners house to Birling and back across the fields and had met the lady who saw Finn on the walk!

Thank you for your help, i have called the highway agencies and they have informed there petrol officers to keep an eye out for Finn, I will get a poster to the RSPCA in Leybourne ASAP. Thank you both for your help, hope we find him soon

have asked for twitter alerts to go out. Also to see if can twitter direct to highways
DogLostCJ - Police Liaison & SE Regional Coordinator
Just spoken to dog warden who uis aware and driving around that area. She said police were aware buut not sure if highways have been told? Would suggest a poster to LEYBOURNE RSPCA as if picked up they do not notify if tag has come off etc.

A lady attempted to catch him earlier but he got spooked and last seen heading towards the motorway junction.
Would suggest any sightings approach with caution as he sounds as if very scared so will get spooked very easily. Being a labrador would suggest tasty treats - smelly ones the better as labs love their food!!
Tiga
This is my area so am on my way with Tiga to see if we can track Finn.
anna_white
Thank you C.J we've contacted kennels and vets around the area, been out looking for him all morning. Thank You for your advice

Might be an idea for owners to alert motorway authorities if seen that clsoe to M20.
Presume dog warden aware. Check Viking oaks kennels in case picked up
