Will be going to Littlethorpe on Fri so will check posters are still there and put more up if needed. Thinking of her owners. They must be so distressed :O(

- I am spreading the word as much as possible, there are lots of posters up in the area. Hope she is found soon
- 2012-12-15 15:34 Ellie
- Ruby's owners have been daily searching the area where she went missing taking spades in case she had gone underground.
I concentrated on walking over the fields from before Cosby, going through Littlethorpe then heading towards Whetstone checking farm buildings as I went but no news I am afraid.
Ruby's owners feel someone must have taken her after finding her the day she went missing especially as she is such a friendly little dog. Anyone who can help postering and spreading the word greatly appreciated Last edited: 2012-12-15 15:35:51 by Ellie - 2012-12-14 17:28 Ellie
- As people have varied search time available I think it most sensible if they prefer to go out tomorrow when suitable rather than try to set a meeting time. The disused railway line certainly sounds the sort of place a dog would explore so perhaps use that as a start base.
- 2012-12-14 08:36 Ellie
- Thanks Raisen. Owner said postcode is LE8 so if further alerts can go out to cover distance from LE19 that would be great
- 2012-12-14 08:11 Raisen
- I live at Littlethorpe and will obviously look out for her. Can help for a short time Sat morning if needed (have visitors coming later) The postcode is LE19. There is a disused railway line where she went missing and would imagine lots of rabbits, unfortunately also very close to Motorway.
- 2012-12-14 00:33 Ellie
- Confirming area of Littlethorpe is correct and also postcode LE8 The fields Ruby was lost in are between Whetstone and Littlethorpe on the Whetstone side of the M1. A search will be organised for Saturday morning if she is not found by then, will let everyone have details when sorted.

- Spoken to Ruby's owners. She is 10 months old, chipped and wearing a leather collar. She was lost during an evening walk. Ruby had been very interested in a scent a few minutes earlier and when owner was distracted by his other dog she must have ran back. Owners doing all the right things, postering and contacting DWs, rescue centres etc. Stay safe until you are found Ruby.

- Sorry to see that RUBY is missing.
- If your dog is microchipped please let the microchip company know that your dog is missing and check that all details are up to date.
- Owners targeted by a malicious hoaxer demanding money for the return of their dog should phone the police on 101 immediately and contact admin@doglost.co.uk
- A photograph of your dog is essential for the website. If you have not already uploaded one, please do so by clicking on Update details. Alternatively you can email it to admin@doglost.co.uk quoting the dog's DogLost ID number: (46218)
- Obtain a missing poster by clicking on View poster above. Posters are very important so start postering now!
- You will need to be logged in to upload photos, edit your dog's details, or add comments. You can add comments by clicking on Click here to add a comment.
- Contact dog wardens, vets and local rescue centres, and in Scotland, the Police. Give a detailed description with any distinguishing marks/scars or send them a copy of your DogLost poster. You can find vets in your area here.
- If your dog has been stolen inform the police immediately and obtain a crime reference number (CRN). Send an email to stolen@doglost.co.uk.
- If your dog is picked up and taken to rescue kennels, it can be legally re-homed after seven days. Visit rescue centres in person and do not rely on checking by phone alone. Other people may not recognise your dog by your description, so give them a DogLost poster.
- Keep us updated by keeping your dog's page up to date and check for posts from helpers who may have suggestions and possible matches or sightings
